I think they're gonna come out soon. That, or they're gonna pull a King Kong on us -- let very few things trickle out for a long while, and then, just a few weeks before release, blitz the crap out of us with pictures, trailers, magazine pieces, Internet reports, preview screenings, TV specials, a video game...

I will have to agree with mr. Logan. That is usually always the case, and I believe it's a new marketing strategy Hollywood is using. Just look at how they have promoted Batman Begins last summer. Barely anything, and then at the last few months it picked up and then BAM, a lot of promotion, TV spot almost on every channel. Hella many posters, everything.
So don't worry about X3, I'd say after New Year's you'll get the fix, and the closer to May the more they'll promote it

I think another reason they might do that is to have the momentum of the SUPERMAN RETURNS campaign. Supes has already given us two comic cons and the footage and interviews adjoining, the costume pics, two dozen official stills, a teaser poster, a teaser trailer...Come late winter - early spring of next year, if the SUPERMAN RETURNS campaign slows down and loses a bit steam because they've already put so much out there 8 months early, then that'd be a good time for the X3 campaign to kick in and keep riding strong until their release date.

Looks like fun. But I'm not exactly crying that I have to wait 7 months before I can see it.

Well, that's just a teaser. And I don't think they spent too much time thinking about that one.
MARKETING DUDE #1: All right, we need a teaser poster for X3.
MARKETING DUDE #2: How about we use that X thing we used for the two previous movies' teasers?
MARKETING DUDE #1: I like that. What about the 3, though? We need something good.
MARKETING DUDE #2: Well, let's see...Three...Does Storm have 2 or 3 nipples?
MARKETING DUDE #1: Two. I think. We might have to check the Marvel bible, though.
MARKETING DUDE #2: Oh, so we probably can't use it then -- oh, wait, I got it. *picks up Wolverine still he's had in hand* Wolvie's our badass, and he has THREE claws on each hand.
MARKETING DUDE #1: Whoa, that's a great coincidence. Let's use that -- the X, and three claws, like, slash. That's good, too, since we used the Wolverine claws before, and, y'know, he's, like, a badass.
MARKETING DUDE #2: We don't even have to get Hugh Jackman in here. We could just slap one of those prop gloves on one of those illegal Mexican workers who shred documents in the back.
MARKETING DUDE #1: I like that. Let's do that after lunch. How about sushi?

Hahaha totally! grrr... stupid waiting game--- y'know, I really hope this film is good, because of the break-neck shooting schedule-- and the gazillion characters they've added.... So i'm crossing my fingers-- I just want to see some pics-- either Beast, or Juggernaut, or--- hell i dont care--
Supposedly the trailer is gonna be attached to King Kong-- but they need to release it early... just do it for the fans, FOX, do it for the fans!
Oh and dont buy the fantastic 4 dvd for the "special sneak peak" because you can get it at shh-- and it doesnt even show anything, just a couple of storyboards--

UPDATE: This is from Shh-- so its straight from the horses ass
While in Vancouver visiting the set of X-Men 3, ComingSoon.net/SuperheroHype.com and several other online journalists were asked by Hugh Jackman, in full Wolverine garb, if we had seen the teaser trailer. When we said we hadn't, he said, "Oh, you've got to see it!" Little did we know that he hadn't seen it either and was actually on his way to check it out. After a quick check with the Fox representatives, Hugh Jackman got approval from our gracious Fox hosts to let us see it with him. He then led us through a maze of trailers to a truck trailer with a screening room. (There's nothing more surreal than following Wolverine, along with a group of fellow internet geeks, through a movie set.) We all sat down and got to watch the teaser along with Jackman himself. I'll do my best to recap it.
The trailer is a montage of scenes from the film. It starts out with a voice over by Patrick Stewart. As he talks about the war of mutants (as well as angels and demons), we see a bunch of very, very brief scenes. Here's what I remember (not necessarily in order):
- The X-Men walking down the hall in the basement of the X-Mansion. We see Wolverine, Storm, Kitty Pride, Colossus, and others.
- An exterior shot of the X-Mansion
- Storm walking out of the Mansion doors and looking at a cloudy sky.
- Quick shot of Professor X in a wheelchair.
- A shot of Beast and the other X-Men at what appears to be a funeral.
- A shot of Angel, shirtless and in a lab, quickly unfolding his wings in from of some scientists.
- A quick shot of the President and his advisors.
- Juggernaut in a containment cell.
- A shot of Magneto in the woods flanked by Pyro, Juggernaut, and an Asian mutant among others. Magneto delivers a line and dozens of mutants raise their fists in the air.
- Cyclops screaming at the sky.
- Wolverine meeting Cyclops at Alkali Lake and his glasses flying off and into Wolverine's hand.
- Jean Grey waking up on an infirmary table.
- An X-Student walking through the halls of the Mansion flying paper airplanes with his powers.
- Storm flying through the air, then spinning and knocking people over.
- Storm flying and knocking Wolverine out of the way of debris falling down (in a Danger Room training sequence).
- A shot of Magneto causing a car to fly up into the cab of a truck.
- A shot of Magneto and other mutants walking along the Golden Gate Bridge. The Bridge then starts ripping and bending apart.
- A shot of Jean Grey casually walking towards a door in the infirmary and it violently blowing apart.
- A scene of Wolverine jumping out of a tree and tearing someone apart with his claws.
The trailer then concludes with the X and Wolverine's claws as seen on the poster. The reaction to it was overwhelmingly positive among us and we applauded it (which was again surreal with Hugh Jackman there seeing it for the first time with the rest of us). We asked to see it again and they obliged. Jackman even wanted to see it too, so he stuck around. All in all it was a fun evening. You'll hear more about our visit to the set in coming months.
The X-Men 3 teaser trailer will be attached to "King Kong" when it hits theaters, but it will debut online this coming Monday, Dec. 5th. Watch for it on Apple's website in High Definition quality.
Thanks again to 20th Century Fox and Hugh Jackman for giving us a sneak peek. You guys are going to love it, too.

Does anybody know if the same actor is returning as Colossus? I have no idea who he is, but he seemed like he would work.

He was an Ex-football player. And yes, he did seem to play the part well. Minus the Russian accent anyways.

Don't forget the original Beast.
Are you glad they didn't use that version?
