The topic subject says it all, what do you guys think is the best James Bond theme song? Personally, I think that Live and Let Die (by Paul McCartney and the Wings) is by far the best James Bond song, but there are other really good ones. What do you guys think?

Great topic!

While I've always loved Shirley Bassey's Goldfinger, I have to agree with you and say that the best is Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney and Wings.

The theme that has stood out to me most that I've liked is the instrumental one used during the opening credits of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which was a departure from the usual sung theme song in "I think" all the other films. I really like it; great piece of music.

A tie between "Live & Let Die" by Paul McCartney, and Carly Simon's "Nobody Does It Better" (from THE SPY WHO LOVED ME).

"Goldfinger" by Shirley Bassey. I love that song, even if I'm not really a fan of the Bond series.

Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney is my favorite. But Guns N Roses did a cover of the song back in 1991 which is even better...

Arguably not the best but my favorite is Garbage’s “The World is Not Enough” followed by “Live and Let Die”.

Not trying to stir things up here but surely LIVE AND LET DIE has to be the most dire of a bad bunch!

I mean WINGS for crying out loud...Paul bloody McCartney and his fecking Frog Chorus...and don't forget the utterly bobbins PIPES OF PEACE and MULL OF KINTRYE

In the words of Alan Partridge when asked "Who are Wings?"..."Only the band the Beatles could have been!"

I'd probably go for YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE at a push!!!

My favorites are All Time High(Octopussy), Live and Let Die, A View to a Kill, Nobody Does It Better(The Spy Who Loved Me)....but my favorite of the Brosnan films is definately the World Is Not Enough performed by Garbage(which is one of my favorite bands)...Shirley Manson's voice blows me away and it's a great song!

Nancy Sinatra's 'You Only Live Twice'.

Bjork did a really good cover of this song as well.

Shirley Bassey's 'Diamonds are Forever' is also worth a mention.

Now that I think about it, Sheena Easton's For Your Eyes Only wasn't half bad. She was pretty foxy in the 80's too. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I kinda really like "tomorrow never dies" sang by Sheryl Crow.
I hear Mariah Carey will do the theme song for the new one. anyone know if this is true?
