So apparently Bryan Singer says he wants to direct a Star Trek movie. If Paramount doesn't jump on that and sign the man up right now then they are idiots. If anyone can revive the Star Trek franchise it's Bryan Singer. It's not everyday you get a director that good saying he wants to direct the eleventh film in a franchise, but he's a fan.

I think it's time to retire Star Trek. The franchise hasn't been any good since Voyager. If anything do a DS9 film where everybody dies-- except Quark.

Wow. Didn't see this coming.
I think Star Trek should be retired too, but then again I've thought so for a while. Who knows.

Well how about they let him make a final movie so they can go out with a bang. I liked Nemesis pretty well but it wasn't epic enough to be the end of the franchise, nor was Enterprise even close.
Singer could do one movie that is really epic and lets the franchise go out with a bang. Maybe they could have a full-on "war of the worlds" with the Federation battling a league of evil civilizations, and it could feature characters from Voyager (the best characters of any of the series), DS9, and Next Generation. That could be good, and Singer would do an amazing job.

I'd watch it if they had more of a war themed to it.
Coming from a Star Trek fan, I really wish the movies had more space dog fights.
The Enterprise is suppose to be the jewel ship of Earths star fleet, show it to us by BLOWING SHITE UP!!!
Sorry got a little excited there.

I've enjoyed every Star Trek movie thus far. I am a big fan of TNG series but that's where it ends for me. I didn't really dig DS9. Voyager was good but not as good as TNG. Haven't seen Enterprise.
I wouldn't mind another TNG movie. I don't see any other of the Trek series getting a movie.

Me either. I didn't like DS9 or Voyager and Enterprise. They all got progressively worse with DS9 being ok, but nothing special, Voyager being mildly crappy and Enterprise being very crappy!
I would definately love to see another movie with the TNG crew. Or maybe a movie centering around Riker now that he is the captain of his own ship.

Well , they have to hurry because Data is getting fatter by the day and the Borg titties of Seven of Nine are in need of assimilation.
I've seen the interview where Singer mentioned Star Trek. He says he's a big fan, and has an idea for a film, but he didn't explicitly say he'd like to direct one - That came out of the mouth of the interviewer.
Singer also said he's appeared in a Star Trek film. Which one, he wouldn't say.

I'm pretty sure it was in Nemesis. I don't remember actually seeing him actually in it, but I recall reading about it in TV Guide and being on the watch for it.

id love it if he did end up doing a Star Trek film....as long as it has nothing to do with the shitfest that was Voyager

Right. And Quentin Taratino wants to direct Beverly Hills Cop 4, a James Bond movie, AND a Friday the 13th movie.
Doesn't mean it will happen. Though I wouldn't mind seeing it happen (Singer doing ST, not QT doing anything).
