The 1980s television series The Equalizer is set to get the big screen treatment thanks to Harvey and Bob Weinstein. Alas, Edward Woodward, now 75, will not be reprising the role he made famous as the former spy turned public guardian angel, and a search is underway for a youthful star. The show was a huge hit both here and in its native US, where it was originally broadcast on CBS from 1985-1989. It is understood production will begin next year.

Come on.
Are you serious?
That's it.
Shut off the lights, turn of the computers, and lock the doors on the way out.
Hollywood has totally run out of ideas.
Magnum PI is next to hit the big screen, but by then, the world will have plunged into a black hole, destroying everything we know...
so it's cool.
