Hey guys,

Here's some new photos for next years sc-fi action hit
"Ultraviolet" which stars Milla Jovovich as an enhanced breed of vampire and human DNA. The world is now seperated into two species which is the enhanced society and the human society who are now at war with one another and Milla plays an infected woman who is protecting a child that could hold the key to her survival and the rest of the world population. It sounds pretty wild and it's Kurt Wimmer's second film after the hit, "Equilibrium" What does everyone think, looks good eh? It's suppose to release Spring 2006.

What's your investment in this?

What do you mean by my investment?

He means you're new here and it looks like your purpose is to promote this movie, so he's guessing you must have an interest, or investment, in it. I'm curious too. :)

I personally don't see anything from those pictures that makes it look all that wicked. Milla Jovovich is cool, but I've seen her flat stomach before. The red costume looks meh. The glasses in the second pic look like shit. And the synopsis sounds like every other vampire and/or sci-fi flick the world's gotten since THE MATRIX and BLADE were hits in their respective ways and genres. Can't say I see this one being "next year's sci-fi hit", unless the year turns out to be really crappy.

Yeah, I see your point but I'm not here promoting it. Equilibrium is one of my all-time favourite movies so I'm excited about this movie. It may be shit, it might be a hit. I don't know but it sounds pretty good.

Well to be honest I'm kind of sick of the whole slick vampire movie thing that's been going on for the last couple of years. BUT I hear good things about Equilibrium(which I've been putting off forever now) so I'm willing to keep an open mind for now.

I dig Equilibrium a lot despite it's obvious flaws. It has amazing action scenes. Ultraviolet actually had a test screening review on AICN a couple of months ago and it was positive - Mostly praising the great action scenes, again.

So yeah, I look forward to this. I think Kurt Wimmer has some talent and interesting ideas.

I also enjoyed Equilibrium quite a bit.

I also enjoyed Equilibrium (7/10) quite a bit. Though I recall a certain schmoe (RenHoek - wherever he left to    :( ) absolutely hating it heh.

In any case, did anyone else totally forget about this movie for the past several months? It popping up out of nowhere just totally surprised me.

The pics are surprisingly...meh for me. They're alright but I still don't know what to think of Jovovich's outfit and new hairdo...she was hotter with her normal hair :|

But we'll see, it's just two pictures and that's still early for me. And having seen Equilibrium, I'll give this film the benefit of the doubt.

Sounds like an Underworld rip off to me. I'll have to wait until I see a trailer before I pass judgement though. Getting kinda of tired of the skinny little hot women beating up 250lb men routine though. We need more badass male leads.

from what images ive seen, it looks pretty tacky....i didnt realise its directed by the guy that did Equilibrium (which i love) so i might give it a chance

Meh.

I'm sick of the whole vampire thing. Let's get something fresh.

Well, my feelings for Equilibrium are obvious. I'm looking forward to this movie simply because of who's directing it. Though I think vampires are played out.

Werewolves are where it's at.

Don't forget after "skinny little hot woman" to add the "wearing shiney tight leather outfits" part...

Also..

-Make sure to add that ALL vampires in the millenium just happen to be Kung-fu & gymnastics experts.

-Don't forget, the coolest, most advanced, and most lethal of any vampire, wherewolf or cyborg, are those that are hybrid's. And that somehow the movie hybrids all seem to lack any gross mutation or genetic deficiencies that come with early stages of genetic tampering(this point being the one redeeming quality of Alien Resurrection).

Yeah they should of let the whole matrix idea alone. That movie was fantastic and the rip offs it is getting these dasys is incredible. Thank god i ddon't go see them in the theatre. The pictures look like another " i stole your movie ha ha " photo. I laugh at the pathetic milla jovovich. Thank god i don't go to see stuff like resident evil or underworld or i'd be going to this;)

Is this has something to do with the '98 miniseries "Ultraviolet" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0169501/)?

I've never seen Equilibrium, but I've heard mostly good things about it. I'm not the biggest fan of Milla Jovovich (HATED Resident Evil Apocalypse, but the first was surprisingly decent), but it looks interesting. I'll wait for the reviews.

I personally love vampire flicks but honestly I haven't seen a good one since Blade 2. With Underworld Evolution coming out and now this one I can't see them being on my top vamp flicks. Although, I could be wrong with Ultraviolent. Well, I guess I'll have to wait and see once it comes out. I do hope it'll at least be entertaining.
