It was just posted guys that the director of Casino Royale, the next Bond installment starring Daniel Craig, wants Charlize Theron as his first choice to play the new Bond girl. The director, Martin Campbell has offered her the role although it is not yet confirmed. Check out the link below to read more.

Personally, I'm not too sure she should do it. I saw Aeon Flux and it was awful in my opinion. She is very attractive and a good actress but I don't know about the role for her. I think Angelina should get it sine she was also approached. What does everyone else think?

I like the sound of it. I'm just worried that they are doing this because they know that Craig is not a big draw and they need star power attached to the flick. I really don't wanna see Theron get more publicity for this than Craig would since it is a BOND film.

I agree with you fully. Although it's interesting that Sean Connery praised Daniel Craig as the new Bond saying that he would be terrific. I don't know if Charlize is the best idea but it might work out.

She seems to be following the Halle Berry post-oscar route a little too closely, if she does take this.

She is hot enough and that's all that matters for a Bond girl.

Yeah, well Halle Berry was more than hot enough for Die Another Day but she was the worst fucking Bond girl that ever graced the screen. Just because the chick is hot doesn't mean she's any good.

I thought Berry was perfectly fine in Die Another Day.

If Charlize does this, and GOD, I hope she does, then Sophie Marceau and Famke Janssen have MAJOR competition for being my favorite Bond girl!

Okay.....I'll agree that she was okay but whoever wrote the script for that film was definetely smoking something.

charlize theron is hot and talented as an actress.

most bond girls are only hot. i see the acting talent as a plus. how could you not be up for this?

Famke Janssen and Sophie Marceau are hot and good actresses. I also think Teri Hatcher is a pretty good actress.

But then there is Michelle Yeoh (sp?) who is a good actress but not hot (atleast IMO). So I guess for her, it was the other way around.

They should have Angelina as the evil Bond girl. You know... the one he sleeps with first then turns out to be evil. Then have Theron be the good Bond girl, the one he sleeps with right before the credits role.

Danial Craig is one lucky man. ;)

I think Charlize can pull it off. And I doubt that the marketing people will promote the hell out of Charlize Theron more than Daniel Craig. If they're trying to rebuild the franchise around Craig, they'd be smart to promote him more than her.

I think it would be great casting - Theron and Craig.

I want natalie portman to play the bond girl. I can imagine her the best with daniel craig in a bond film and she is super sexy and aside from that a very good actress.

I couldn't agree more with you on that one, she is far more attractive and more talented than Charlize Theron.

While that last bit is up for debate - in my mind alone - I wouldn't mind seeing either as a Bond girl. Both are talented, freakin' gorgeous, and can do drama, action, and just about anything onscreen.

The biggest difference between the two is that Theron is older than Portman, and maybe that's what the Bond producers are looking for in Craig's costar - somebody who looks more his age.
