ok, so i know that 99% of his output was pure shit, but that's part of his charm!

i absolutely love both Beyond The Darkness and Anthropophogus... and how can you go wrong with Emmanuelle And The Last Cannibals.

truly one of the great kings of sleaze.

i havent seen that many films my D'Amato but the ones i have all seem to have this odd atmosphere, such as Beyond The Darkness, they are badly acted films but also quite a lot of fun....and pretty damn gory at times

For all Joe D'Amato's fans I highly recommend the Italian documentary Joe D'Amato Uncut. He was lotsa fun and explained a lot about his skills, movies, relationships and problems. It's mostly about his golden years: 70-s and the beginning of 80-s.
