Just watched the trailer and it was pretty impressive. But since it was only a teaser it didn't really give us much to work with.

I barely saw Beast in the trailer, from what I saw he looked pretty good though.

Juggernaut could have been worse, I guess. I like the area around the neck, with the bolts and stuff, but some of it looks pretty fake. I hope there's some CG enhancement. And Beast's arms should have been longer. Oh, and in that shot where Magneto is walking straight at the camera with his clan, is that Gambit to the far left of the screen? He's the tallest one with a trenchcoat. Eh, I'm probably delusional, but if so, I called it first. Overall score for trailer = B.

And yeah, I saw the Fastball Special too, and I was like "Hell yeah!"

They did an amazing job with the Beast...wow.

The trailer is amazing.....i love the overload of new characters, even though it might mean a little under-development here and there with some, its still amazing to see new characters doing their shit...Juggernaut looks bad, very bad, but Vinny Jones is fun to watch...so I'm hoping his fight scenes are impressive.

The action looks amazing, loved the theme music of the trailer in the beginning, Halle Berry looks hotter than ever, looks like there will be good action and nice character development with the Wolverine-Phoenix/Jean-Cyclops.

I want to see Omega Red!!

Overall: 9/10....just for Juggernaut coz honestly everything else looked perfect. Uhh, much better than Superman.

1. I don't think this is the movie's score, it's probably something thrown in for the trailer.

I thought that the teaser fucking ROCKED! Sure, Ratner is not a great director. But in all honesty I don't think Singer is either. Usual Suspects promised things that he has never really deliverd on.

But both previous X-Men flicks were well made, entertaining action adventures by a competerent craftsman. I think Ratner is a competent craftsman as well, and this film looks to be more epic than the previous flicks, which is great.

I don't care if the film deviates from the comics. It's a good thing if characters die, it makes for a more dramatic movie.

I absolutly love the X-Men movies, never read the comics, don't know shit about anyone other than the ones in the movies, and I thought this teaser DOMINATED!! It looked so awesome and I am so psyched to see the new mutants. I've been looking forward to so large scale mutant battles since the first movie and I really hope that's the impression that I'm getting from this one.

I agree with the Rogue comments. Other than not being able to get any play from Iceman, I really have no idea what her power might be that could be an asset to the X-Men, so hopefully people shine some light on this.

BTW, who's that girl who seems to be 'gazing' at Iceman? Didn't like the look she was making there... step off Rogue's turf girly girl!

Well-- Rogue would never be able to absorb the Phoenix's powers-- they are too great, they would just make rogue poop herself and run around in circles-- If anything, i dont kow how deep they are going to go into Jugg's powers, and i highly doubt that they will talk about the whole cytorrac story nd him being Xavier's step brother-- So i could see Rogue absorbing his powers-- that takes care of her super strength (which she doesnt even have in the comics anymore btw she has sunfires) so then all she would need to do is absorb someone that fly's power-- then shell be the kickass chick of southern gravy that we all know and love.


I hope so, but somehow i just see her doign the same shit she did in the last too... flirt w/ bobby, fight kitty, fuck beast... lol maybe not that last one...

Truthfully though guys, I think that the movie could go in a thousand different directions which could keep us guessing. It may be the death of who everyone keeps saying it is or it might be someone else. If you look at the funeral scene, there are several characters missing from these. It could be anyone. I think this will be a hell of a movie!

Yeah, yeah, Omega Red is in the movie...it's gonne be a fight scene involving Wolverine and he's not going to be in it very long but it's probably too good to be shown on the trailer :D...but I can't wait to see how they made him, I honestly hope they dont Juggernaut him and that they stick close to his Russian background.

While I think the trailer looks pretty good so far (there is some good stuff here), I think they released it too early. As has been pointed out elsewhere, some of the effects look unfinished and some other things look dodgy and sloppy. Here's a list:

-Beast, in the brief action shot looks way-too-blue (his arms) and not agile and Beast-like enough

-Angel's wings look okay but not polished

-Juggernaut needs some serious CGI enhancement, especially, the helmet needs some serious revision, it looks just like Magneto's

-The effects of Jean busting the doors looks extremely dodgy

-I don't have a side-by-side comparison, but Cyclop's visor/glasses-less blast appears inconsistent with that in the first X-Men

-The paper airplane effect is also somewhat off

That's all I can think of for now. I'm not saying it all looks bad. Here are some extremely cool looking moments:

-The bridge looks fucking sweet

-The Fastball Special

-Mansion exterior

Okay, the point of my post is that I think (READ: HOPE!) this trailer is not indicative of what the final product will actually look like. It's still early. I am hoping that they released so much so early to gage the reaction. I hope there is still time to fix things up (Juggs helmet especially). I hope that is the reason they are calling it the "Announcement Teaser."

Thats right. It would be interesting if in the film there was a scene where the audience finds out that Juggernaut and Xavier are step brothers. But I really dont expect this to be played out though. Given that, from what I understand, Juggernaut's role in X3 is basically that of a enforcer for the new Brotherhood of Mutants. Basically, I'm thinking Vinnie Jones' (Juggernaut) role in the film will be much like that of Tyler Mane (Sabretooth) in the first X-Men. And to be honest, I'll be surprised if his back story with Xavier is even mentioned. A subtle hint? I could see that.

I guess we'll find out in May. :)

May is shaping up to be a pretty intense month... gonna have to take some time off of work to handle it ;)

Angel won't be on any team at the beginning of the film. He will be sort of like Nightcrawler in X2, and the story with he and his father will sort of drive the "cure" plot portion of X3. He will eventually be good (and WAY bad, if they follow the comics. But we won't see the "bad" Archangel in this film). Oh, and he can fly and he's really agile.

And Shadowcat can walk through stuff. She's the girl that can "walk through walls" from the earlier films, and she falls through her bed in the attack on the mansion in X2. And yeah, that's her walking in the first scene.

Angel's power, btw, is that he's got angel wings. To go quickly and loosely...

-In the original comics, he was the tragic character, because he couldn't hide his wings. He jsut wore big coats and pretended he had a backpack on under it. Beast, if you remember, wasn't blue back then. Angel was "that" guy. He had no other powers that I remember.
-Later, (depending on the rewrite) Angel's wings get ripped off and replaced by metal ones that shoot neurotoxin darts, and this is performed by Apocalypse, as part of turning Angel into a servant he controls, called Archangel. See the X-Men Legends 2 game.

Beast looks great, Juggernaut looks like ****. That'll go down as the single worst part of this movie, other than keeping Halle on. All they had to do was put Jones in the red jumpsuit, maybe add a bit of costume muscle, and not screw up the helmet. They threw every single point of that out the window, and the muscles they put on him look incredibly fake. He'll be a complete throwaway villian, and I'm sure his backstory will be changed, and that saddens me.

Oherwise, I couldn't be more hyped.
