Naruto

Has anyone seen this series? Its really good. I recommend staing away from the dubbed version that they are showing on Cartoon Network as it doesn't do the series justice at all.

For those of you who don't know Naruto was voted the 10th most popular Anime in Japan.

Its about a young boy whom has the spirit of a nine tailed fox demon trapped inside his body by the village elders the Shinobi. Naruto is picked on and riducled for what he is. He is training to become a ninja and is thrust into a threesome team with Sakura, Sasuke and their teacher Kakashi. The group travels together doing missions for their village (leaf village). As the series progresses we learn more about the characters and their abilities. Great anime.

I saw the first episode and it left me mostly unimpressed. And since I hear it's not as good as Full Metal Alchemist and three times as long, I doubt I'll be checking it out.

same here, i was interested in watching this for a while until i found its over 160 episodes long :eek:

I'm not a big FMA fan and do prefer Naruto to it. However the first episode doesn't do Naruto justice and you do have to watch a bit more into the series. The dubbed version is no where near as good as the jap version but thats just an opinion.

It is truly a good series despite how long it is. Look at DBZ for christ sakes! That thing is never ending!

But I read Naruto goes nowhere as deep or as adult or as serious or as mature as Full Metal Alchemist goes. And Naruto (the character) REALLY irritated me in the first episode. But the first episode was good, and the show is popular enough so that it won't suck. I'd check it out if it wasn't so long.

Full Metal is good, but then again so is Naruto!!! The fight scenes are seriously addicting and the storyline is very catchy. I think it's totally worth everyone's time to watch. I can't say which one I like better.

On the other hand, I love Kenshin

I've seen a few episodes of Naruto, and have yet to see anything about the show that indicates that it should be rated higher than Fullmetal Alchemist or Cowboy Bebop. The best episode that i have seen is 133 (I think) where Naruto is fighting....Spoiler....

I think it starts at 21, when the ninja students enter the Chunin Exam.... it's really exciting....

It is 21. A particular fav of mine is when Kakashi is going at it with Zabusa. Good fight. Love the water dragons. I beleive thats around episode 9 or so. Good stuff.

i was happy to find out that CN was gonna start playing the series on it,but unfortunatly i haven't been able to catch the series form the beginning. I saw episode 5. The only thing that bugged me about the show is the person who did naruto's voice. He sounds so stupid. As for ppl not liking long series i personally like some things to be long. such as i hoped trigun to be longer. DBZ was okay until they went half way through.

I HATE the dubbing on Naruto (Cartoon Network). It sounds retarded. The only decent voice is Sakura and thats not saying a whole hell of a lot. The first 5 episodes or so are basically introducing the characters and showing how they got paired together with Kakashi. All good stuff.
