How big of a sports fan are you? How much do you really know about your favorite sports? Well, here's a fun thread that will test how much you know.
Toss out random questions and we'll see who can get the correct answers to each question.
-In 1994 a major sporting event was interrupted by the Oj Simpson- car chase. Which sporting event was this?

94 NBA finals between Rockets and Knicks. That was easy.

How about this, on what day did Wilt Chamberlain score 100 points, what city did he do it in, against who, and what was his free throw and field goal numbers?

I know the city and the team.
That's quite a detailed trivia question ;)

Hmmm, I know that he shot 28-32 from the free throw line, which was pretty astonishing considering that throughout his career he was a poor free-throw shooter. As far as the other questions, I'm not to sure. Let's see if anyone else can get it.

I'll collaborate with anyone else who wants to chime in. They played the game in Hershey, PA in front of @ 5,000 fans (Wilt said he'd been told by far more than that that they had been there that night over the years) and the (then Philadelphia) Warriors beat the Knicks.

Okay, next question...
When Larry Bird tripped and smashed his head off the basketball court, he broke his cheekbone. He then returned to the game to defeat their opponent. Which team were the Celtics playing when this happened?

That's a hard one, only a devoted Celtics fan would know this.

No clue to the question, but I will take a stab at it. The Indiana Pacers?
(Answer to previous question: Wilt scored 100 points on March 2, 1962, in Hershey Pennsylvania, against the New York Knicks and was 28 for 32 from the FT line and 36 for 52 from the field.)

Is there film of this? I'd love to see Larry Bird smashing his face.
I'd probably put it on "loop" :D

Aiight, This boxer defeated Jack Dempsey in the controversial "long-count fight" . Not only did he beat Dempsey in that fight, but he did so twice. Name this boxer.
Hint) He is one of the fighter listed in Bert Sugar's top 10 heavyweights of all time.

Yup, but I guess it fit the sent to your corner rule during a knockout at the time.
