I've mentioned my hatred of her in a couple of previous posts, but somehow hating Jessica Alba has been a recent hobby on my part.

She's a triple threat: an ugly, mean spirited, talentless "actress" who wouldn't even have a career outside of Hollywood if people didn't think she was hot, and she's overexposed to boot.

I fail to see what's so good about her, looks or talentwise. Being hot (which she is NOT, imo) is totally irrelevant if you can't act worth shit, such is the case on her part. I've seen her horrid turns in the following films:

Idle Hands - First movie I've seen her in, and she couldn't be a more perfect example of the type of actress who would go on to become famous for anything OTHER than her non-existent talent.
Sin City - I think I hated her more in this film than anything else I've seen her in, it just makes me angry to know how much better the 'That Yellow Bastard' section would've been if someone else had been cast in the role of Nancy. She was totally incompetent, giving an overall lifeless, wooden performance, delivering her lines most of the time without a hint of emotion (like how she is with EVERY one of her roles). But it was even more cringe inducing when she tried to emote (the overly sweet innocence that she disgustingly projects, the horrible smile plastered on her face at all times, etc).
Fantastic Four - Yet another crapper, but she had horrible lines to work with so I'll cut her just a little bit of slack.

Those movies aside, I couldn't even finish the trainwreck that is Honey, and I also hated what I saw of 'Dark Angel'.

She's done what, 4 to 5 unimpressive movies and a forgettable TV series that requires her to do nothing more than be 'kickass' and she already considers herself a 'star'? Her whole diva attitude is offputting, WHAT right does she have to BE a 'diva', where's the talent to back it up and where's the star quality? I certainly don't see it in Alba. Zero talent, awful movies (except Sin City, but she was by far the worst thing about it), a lack of charisma (yeah, yeah, people like her because of her face & body, but is that really enough for someone to achieve star status?), etc. There is absolutely NOTHING worthy about her.

My advice: Take acting lessons, grow the fuck up and strip away the 'holier-than-thou' attitude or you can just shove your bullshit fame, money, ugly publicity stills up your ass for all I care. :mad:

So, yeah, to summarize, I HATE Jessica Alba! Hate hate hate hate hate her. Hate her. Hate that fact she continually gets roles based solely on her looks, hate the fact she acts like a fucking prima donna when she doesn't have even have the abilities to back up her little diva attitude, hate the way she delivers her lines, hate the fact that her lack of range and emotions could STILL get her recognition from critics and audiences alike, etc. etc. etc.

There are plenty of young actresses these days with a sufficient amount of both talent and looks, namely Scarlett Johansson, Rachel McAdams, Reese Witherspoon, and Natalie Portman. Alba could learn a thing or two from them.

First of all - since when is talent a requirement to be in a movie. See also Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Mariah Carey and the aforementioned Britney Spears and Madonna (though I gotta say Madonna was good in A League of Their Own.

I've actually seen it, and she didn't come off so bad, IMHO. I have a vague memory of the scene, but it certainly didn't make me hate her. For some people nudity is more problematic than for others.

I wouldn't give a damn if something like that would happen, but for many folks that kind of behaviour (Being nude in public, potentially in view of kiddies) would seem rude and unpolite. For us here in Finland nudity is not an issue, we have unisex sauna tradition, etc. I've seen just about every male and female friend I have as nude, there are nude pictures in newspaper advertisements, etc. But for folks in USA even non-sexual nudity seems to be much more of an issue.

There's been a few things mentioned on this thread about some of the things she's done.

For me all you have to do is watch her being interviewed, listen to her speak or just watch her do anything for that matter. The silly bitch walks around as if people should bow in her presence. She has done nothing except inherit good looks yet she seems to think she has come to save humanity. It all comes down to how you like your people. There are plenty of stuck up fuck head celebrities but none quite as grating as the sexy chick who thinks the world owes her a favour.

Also say what you want about Naomi Campbell but she has made on hell of a career for herself. Don't get me wrong she's a fuckwit to but he acheivments in modelling (If there is such a thing) make her more acceptable to me, in the role as love me everyone love me.

But she has reached the peak of her chosen carrer. 1 of the very top models in the world. Does that make it ok to be a bitch? Not really. When I was discussing this with riotstarter you will notice we were talking about Namoi Campbell. Now this isnt some woman who just poses in mens magazines and done glamour modelling. Well, in viewing both women, their respective careers and their general given perception, I don't find Jennifer Love Hewitt's bitchiness to be very prevalent.

I haven't heard of instances where someone asked her to pose for a picture and she told them to go f**k themselves because she didn't want to.

Hewitt's movies: not bowel punchingly bad and she has a modicum of acting talent. (Can't Hardly Wait was her best and most decent role)

Alba's movies: I would rather rub lemon juice in BOTH of my eyes instead of watching her trying to crap out emotions and stumble through some of the worst possible f-ing movies ever made.

(The only good movie she's ever been in was Sin CIty and she had NOTHING TO DO WITH IT'S SUCCESS. She humped a metal pole and put on a performance that would put insomniacs to sleep. Oh, and I heard the metal pole was thinking of suing her for damaging its up and coming career. True story.)

Do you have any proof from article's/video's you've seen, people's experiences with her, that make you think she think's her shit is candy? Sorry for questioning you're rant, I forgot I was in the RANT RANT RANT section. I'll check next time, and thank you for the welcome. I'd also like to clarify that I was not defending her with my previous post, I was only curiouos as to what brought you to HATE Jessica Alba with, what it sounds like, alot of passion.
There was a time when actesses/actors like Jessica Alba annoyed me to no end, getting paid ass load's and getting recognized for something they don't even have. But now i just accept it for what it is, Occasional eye candy not worth any of my money, or more then 10 seconds of my time. I have only once willfully sat down and watched Jessica Alba attempt to act, in Sin City, she had about as much life in her as a dead cat. But unless she stop's looking pretty, and taking movie role's she'll be around for a while.
Let me try to clear up what i meant when I wrote "drowning in coke" "hitting someone with car" etc. I was simply giving examples of bad publicity that have destroyed many career's. It's not like something like this couldn't happen to her...(wishful thinking?)
I think the difference between you and me is that you hate who she is, and i hate what she is. And what i mean by that is, there are thousands of actors/actresses/directors/producers/anyone in showbusiness, exactly like Alba. i don't hate on one specifically, i just group them together and hate them the same. Your points about the industry are valid, but quite simply, this is more of a venting thread than anything else. If the 'common people' had the power to influence Hollywood, it would be different.
