View Full Version : Question about Behind Enemy Lines?
Ok, I usually don't like movies like Behind Enemy Lines but since I heard it was more "fun" than "serious" I'm kind of curious. Last night when I saw the preview it had a kickass rock song playing and lots of action. Now I was wondering, is Behind Enemy Lines a "fun" movie with lots of action and booming rock songs playing? Because if it is I think I might see it. The preview I saw to it was ammusing, the one with the music playing anyway.
If anyone can answer my question for me I appreciate...
Thank You

Y'know Mike, this movie was excellent. The movie can be considered as fun, but there are a lot of parts where it is considered as war. So it's more of a war movie and Hope he gets out of there movie, than a fun movie. IT was fun to watch though. Very good. 8/10

the song your referring to is "Hey Man nice Shot" by Filter, its never played during the movie.
It is a pretty fun movie, I mean the director went apeshit on this one, really stylish (the minefield explosion, holyyyyy) and Owen Wilson is now a star.
Well, I think I might go see it anyway. Or at least rent it on video.

I'm going to see it this afternoon Mike, it looks awesome! Plus I really like Gene Hackman and Owen Wilson, both are really good actors.
Well have fun, I hope you like it, I'm sure you will, it's supposed to be pretty good. Anyway, let me know what you thought of it.

Ill post my review tonite for ya!
Ok, I look forward to hearing your opinion on it.
Saw it. It was a lot more entertaining than it had any right to be. I enjoyed the direction; the jittery, hand-held camera work was pretty effective. It added suspense, this considering Owen Wilson character's fate was never in doubt. Gene Hackman could read the phone book and still mesmerize. Owen Wilson has a goofily heroic quality that's perfect for the role. I just wish the action sequences were more credible. They were exciting to watch, but I kept shaking my head in disbelief throughout. And there were plotholes big enough for an army of tanks to plow through. But, overall, it could have been a lot worse. It could've been as boring and pretentious as ENEMY AT THE GATES.

Behind Enemy Lines is a great movie, I saw no visible plot holes, Its an outstanding movie that kept my interest through out the whole thing, I went in expecting a average war movie but it surpassed my expectations, when I first saw the trailer I was worried about Owen Wilson's casting in a drama, because i've only seen him in comedies, But this guy is a good solid dramatic actor, He knows what he's doing....... Overall Wilson's choice was a good one... I think this movie is a thinker, it makes you think expecialy after september 11th, After the movies over you will relise how real it was, and then start thinking that hey, what happend in this movie could happen at any time in real life, it's scary but it's reality...... With great acting by both Hackman and Wilson, and with a very REAL plot, and with GREAT action sequenence's, this movie never fails to deliver... It is a great choice one i truly recommend checking out if you have any patriotism in you after the tragety on September 11th, 2001.....
FINAL GRADE- 9/10

Behind Enemy Lines is a solid and entertaining action film. Owen Wilson stars as Chris Burnett, a U.S Navy Fighter Pilot who is shot down along with his partner "Behind Enemy Lines". Owen Wilson is fantastic, he's one of my favorite actors and he is just cool and collective as Burnett, showing emotion and rage, he gave a great performance. Gene Hackman is his commanding officer trying to save him. As always Hackman is GREAT.
Behind Enemy Lines is very well directed and very fast paced. At times suspenseful, the film will leave you on the edge of your seat. All in all Behind Enemy Lines is a very good film, one of the most fun films I have seen this year!

Hi Guys,
I need a little help here. From the movie, do any of u guys know the name of the song which plays on when the f-15 is getting prepped up for the REAL launch of the plane?
I just happen to like it but can't get the name of the song from anywhere. Thanks and BTW, the movie's good if you don't feel like thinking too much about reality and prefer to just float along with a movie.
Cheers.

i loved BEL. The momentum of the film was great, and as you said the jolty camera brought some documentary stylings to it.
One thing that put me off slightly was the villainous sniper wearing ripped off reebok...
