I don't think this has been done before. Sorry if it has.

What are your favorite montages from movies. A few of mine that first come to mind are:

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith - Order 66. I love the tragic music that plays over the top as all the Jedi are suddenly turned on by the troopers they are leading and slaughtered. Cinematography plays a huge part in this scene and its one of the best I have seen.

The Last Samurai - Near the end when the samurai are preparing to go to war. I love the shot of Tom Cruise sitting in the small room meditating. Once again the music is what makes this montage work so well.

The Usual Suspects - The montage at the end of the film when Verbal Kint is leaving the police station and the cop is starting to put all the pieces together when he looks at the office postboard. The mysterious music and quick dialogue and shot cuts were astounding in that scene creating my favourite ending of all-time in a movie.

The Usual Suspects one is great, and I also liked the one at the end of Session 9 that shows us quick cuts of all the murders while the final tape of Mary Hobbes is playing.

"Layla" from Goodfellas
"Head Over Heels" from Donnie Darko
"Mad World" from Donnie Darko
"Ave Maria" from Donnie Darko
Recently, "Theme From Greatest American Hero" from The 40-Year-Old Virgin
And of course..."Gonna Fly Now" from Rocky

One that really comes to mind quickly is the "color" montage from Raging Bull.
