I love this game but it was so fucking hard! I remember the first time I played it I couldn't get past the mall (which was like the second stage). I played it again recently and finished it but dayam.

The music in that game was great too.

I'll always remember those damn lumberjack guys that could cut through the hedges... the sense of impending doom was pretty strong for those days.

OMG fuck yes! I remember this game! I used to love it! It was damn hard though. Could never get past those freaking dolls in that store. And when I finally did the chainsaw dudes got me! I so remember that level where all the zombies looked like you.

Zombies ate my neighbors was so much fun, especially with a friend. Nothing better than annhilating zombies than with your best friend. Music ruled too.

This game was a favourite of mine from years ago. The sequel is weaker in comparison. For those of you who don't know the name of the sequel its called Ghoul Patrol.

The music is very, very B Movie, which suits this game quite nicely. I love all the references made with the level titles.

It is a really hard game, I still find it hard after all these years. Its a great game that should be updated.

Holy hell, there is a sequel to this game!? My God, is it as good? (I know that guy said it wasn't, but still) I must find this sequel.

The sequel does introduce the ability to jump and the gamplay is basically the same as the first game. In this one you can change into a Grim Reaper instead of the monster in Zombies ate My Neighbours. I didn't find it as great as the first game but you may find it to be better.

If you want to find it and have an emulator then just search for the Ghoul Patrol rom. You're best bet would be to get the SNES version as I know it is definitely out there to download somewhere.

I think Ghoul Patrol was less loved because it kinda took out everything that made the first game so great; the knowing references to the decades of horror.

Ghould Patrol tried to be a game in it's own right. Gone was the campy yet awesome music, replaced by serious electronic type stuff. The enemies were more generic "created-for-the-game" sorts. It was just less fun. ZAMN was "run around shooting monsters for fun!" while Ghoul Patrol was more "do this mission, do this task".

Still, if you've played ZAMN to death it's worth a go. Either that or move onto other top-down shooters, like the impossible Jules Verne-y Chaos Engine. Oh my God that game was tough.

Anyone that likes this game, look up Monster Madness for the XBox 360.

It looks the same but in next-gen graphics. They even have the masked chainsaw guys and the werewolves.

I'll buy this for sure!

This is my favorite game. I'm behind the times and only enjoy SNES. The tributes to all the horror films were great, loved everything about it except no saving option. The passwords didnt help all that much when it meant losing all the arsenal. I didn't find the dolls that hard (with the hedgemen just use clowns); what I couldn't stand were the freaking vampires, literally indestructible.

Oh, man. Just played this with a friend and beat it. Took us a little over 10 hours. Perhaps he and I have waaay too much time if we're beating this game. Oh, hell, I'd assassinate the President just to play ZAMN. Anyone else feel this way?

To put it lightly, i'm not that great in the video game world. And I haven't played this since or around the time I made this thread.

Glad this game is getting the love it deserves.
