I would say lord of the rings extended edition, yeah it's alot of money for one film but the 2 discs and all the extr footage are great.

King Kong Two Disc (1933) had 2 special features on the second disc.....both were mammoth, excellently produced, and extremely interesing...the 2 hour + making-of the orig. king kong was awesome, but my fav. was the hour long documentary on Marion C. Cooper(sp?), he really was "King Kong"...
i also think the War of the Worlds Two Disc Lim. Ed. has some very good special features too
Wizard of Oz 3 Disc and Ben Hur 4 disc=dvdspecialfeaturelover's wet dream.....literally hours and hours....i have had each for a couple months now and im still not through either one completely

Wondering why DVDs today don't have the actor/actress bio anymore.
Remember those?

The Extras in The Friday The 13th box set were awesome, especially the deleted scenes.

I agree with Lord of the Rings. And from the sound of it The Frighteners is great too.
I think I'll add what I think is the worst. The Star Wars trilogy. There is hours and hours of footage out there, and all we get is one bonus disc. Where are all of the deleted scenes? Where are the individual making ofs?

Oh, they're out there. And Lucas knows they're out there. You just have to buy the next 17 "special edition" releases of the DVD, where Lucas adds one more feature each time.
