Has anyone seen this great film? This one flew under the radar!!!!

*SPOILER*

I cannot believe how weird Treadwell was. Was he ever diagnosed as a bi-polar? I almost felt sorry for him. How creepy was that mortician? I cannot believe this movie will not be up for an Oscar, thats a shame - does anyone know why???

It wasn't nominated because it played on television before it was theatrically released, therefore disqualifying it.

The rules suck.

i don't know what all you people see in this film. i thought this was the biggest pile of garbage i have ever seen. first of all the guy who followed these grizzly's arounf was just so weird if that's the right word i'm looking for . and he acted like a kid. i mean to get himself actually eaten by a grizzly says it right there. how stupid could you be. i mean i respect someone who has a love for a certain animal or animals, i myself love animals. but come on he could not see the kind of danger that he wasa in to get actually killed by one of them. i guess my point is that this guy hung around these bears for 13 years i beleive. you think he would of known better. and as far as the film goes i mean there was beautiful scenery but that's it. all you see is this guy standing around with the bears all the time and talking to them , that's it. if you want to see a documentary then see MARCH OF THE PENGUINS. i mean you actually see what those poor penguins go through for the love of their young. again this is my opinion.

That was the point of the DVD, to show how different this guy was. I just want to know if there was actually something wrong this guy - Bi-Polar???

Are you drunk? March of the fucking Penguins? You call that a documentary? It's just a Disneyfied distortion of the truth. The director, Luc Jaquet, wanted to make a darker and grittier documentary but no, the fucking srudio re-edited his version and slapped on a sickly Morgan Freeman voice-over. Fuck that shit.
