Now I'm grateful of your work but I could do exactly the same thing and be accurate as well. It's not hard to find sources that are accurate. But are you saying that if I decided to post some release dates of a dvd, that you have yet to do, then I would be "stealing" your idea and post?

Am I allowed to post any release dates, or will you get pissed at me too. I mean, you are missing a lot of movies on your list.

first of all i stick to the Theatrical releases that people are familar with.
i dont care if people announce a title before anyone else, i am just pissed because he stole my style and everything, plus his dates are not accurate

sounds like High School drama to me. But as far as your work I agree and I respect it. But to get pissed because someone copied your style? Thats kinda childesh dont you think? I mean look at all the top 100 lists that are all coming out. Rated R was the firs to start that, that I know of, and now there are like 10 other top 100 countdowns, and he didnt get upset. I'm sure he took it as a complimant. Just keep doing your thing and take "style copying" as a complimant. Just a suggestion.

I don't know what his immaculate sources are but I use www.dvdempire.com. They have everything ranging from Criterion to HBO movies, to shitty B movies and they're just about 100% accurate it seems.

BTW, Stay got bumped a week for Bee season.
They figure with king kong being released on the 28th, Stay would get killed, however Bee season would be good counter programing

Edit....Universal Moved the orignal date of king kong from the 4th, up to march 28th, because disney is releasing Narnia that day

Just wanted to let everyone know, that during a conference last week, Fox announced it was shortning windows down to 60 days. which is only two months between theatrical and video. also Lions gate announced that the Film See No Evil which is the first feature to be released from WWE Films. and stars Pro Wrestler Kane. will be the first film to be released Theatrically and on DVD the same day

Two more studios are cutting Windows. Sony (Columbia/MGM) will also be cutting theirs down to 60-90 day windows.

and now I just learned that Universal (Universal/Focus/Dreamworks)
is cutting theirs down to 90 days as well

sometimes i really sick of waiting some film to hit the street like Troy and Alexander, it took me almost 8months before release the dvd. so 60-90day is really a great news. what you think guyz?? hit me back.

As far as dune. I would love to post every dvd released, but i usually stick with current theatre to dvd releases, sometimes i throw in a direct to video sequel or a Disney SE. but thats about it

I know of it but it's not perfect. Some films (some, not all, of the films I'm interested in) are not listed there. Also, it's ever so slightly out of date. And being addicted like I am to such info., only THE absolute most up-to-date info. possible will do for me.

Are you sure WALK THE LINE is coming out on Feb. 28? I haven't seen anything in the magazines we get at the store I work about it, and it's not on the February sheet that just came in. Is it March 28 instead, perhaps?

the last bit of info i have heard about it, is that its gonna be Feb 28th. but keep in mind i dont run the studio. so they could change their minds. they were timing it with the AW's. I am guessing that they will have it offically announced by the time the nominees are announced.

also.

Alot of studios are now thinking of moving their films off of the March 28th date. because Universal is set to announce King Kong for that date

A store where I live called HMV has two different King Kong posters up on the wall behind the cash with a piece of paper taped to each saying the release date is March 28th.

Brokeback will be moving to April most likely the 4th. to counter program against Chronicles of narnia. Walk the Line is streeting feb 28th. Munich is scheduled for May. Hostel is being Moved to April. because of the over booked March.

The Ringer is April 25th.
Last Holiady is being considered for either the 2nd of May or 9th

I have recieved word that Sony may actually bump the release date for the pink panther up to april 18th.

Oh and I want to say this. I may have jumped down the throat of another poster here on the Joblo forum, but i had good reason to.
I took a Hiatus from Joblo last summer because i moved from Malibu to Alta Loma. I have been working for a perticular studio for the past seven years and hold my position quite well, Another member from Joblo recently Pm'd me to let me know that he supports my decision to respond to the other poster stealing my style. first of all Mr. Fernando. Get a Style of your own, do not steal mine. I have found out how old you are mr. Fernando. and when most member find out about your age. and the fact that you steal your information from sites. may cause some heads to turn. I will not stop in my quest to stop you from plagerizing.

He hasn't been handing out information and saying he heard it first, he's not trying to hide anything here. I have no doubt that you're good at your job no ones arguing that. Act your age dude because at this point you truly are not. Ask the studios you get their informations from whether they care that someone else is also posting release dates for upcoming DVD's. I am not trying to join the angry mob here, but this is like HeavyFknMetal said, "ridiculous". I don't know how you can say he stole your style, because there is no other style to display information. It will always turn up like this.

Is that plagurism? I don't think that the way you present information in the most common way possible, as some other people may do it, is plagurism.

He is not stealing from sites, he is showing you what sites he got the information from, he is giving the goddamn links to the sites! How is that stealing? And he could, but most likely isn't stealing from you, because like you used as a example in another post, you had the date for last holiday on your list for a month, then when the sites announce it, he put it on his list, which means he didn't take YOUR DATES, he used the sites as information, and used the information for his thread.

Im not going to say "act your age", because I haven't reached your age, so im not completely sure how you'd act, but if this is how a 30-something year old acts, then im telling you, a 30-something year old, to stop acting your age, and stop acting like a baby.

Your not getting paid for this, so no reason to worry there, you can't use respect as a example because your clearly losing it during this fit your having. No one is complaining about all the "Top 100's" or the "Favorite movie tournament's" saying people stole other peoples ideas, this is a forum, a place where people post about movies to talk about movies, not to tell other people to piss off for "taking their ideas".

And there is no good reason for you to be insulting King Fernando, when he begins calling you a "pissant", then there could be a reason why you might be upset and start insulting him, but for the moment, there is no good reason to insult anyone.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this , but amazon.com is advertising something i've been waiting for , for a very long time . Final Fantasy : Advent Children has an april 25th release date . It's a two disc " special " edition , and the artwork looks way cool . Can't wait for this freakin' thing , it looks so good , it could have easily garnered a theatrical release . Just hope the date doesnt change .
