From davisdvd.com

20th Century Fox has announced The Mel Brooks Collection for release on April 4th. The eight-disc set will include Blazing Saddles (on loan from Warner Bros), new editions of History of the World Part I, Robin Hood Men in Tights and Young Frankenstein, along with the debuts of High Anxiety, Silent Movie, To Be or Not to Be and Twelve Chairs. All will feature anamorphic transfers and trailers. "Robin Hood" also includes an HBO special, while "To Be or Not to Be" has a featurette. Retail is $99.98.

I for one think this is absolutely awesome. I own 12 chairs (yes, the OOP one), Young Frank, and History of the World but that's still not bad considering they're new releases so I'm cool I guess.
I'll be picking up this one - how bout you all?

I wish they would of thrown Spaceballs in there, but it still sounds pretty sweet.

Spaceballs isn't a 20th Century Fox film...it was released by MGM in its special edition already. Since Blazing Saddles in on "loan" from WB, maybe they couldnt get MGM to do the same....just a guess.

I thought Robin Hood: Men in Tights was very underrated and earned some solid laughs.

I hope that they will release Robin Hood: Men in Tights as a solo DVD as well. I have been waiting for so long for this DVD to come out, and I own a majority of the DVDs that will be in the collection, so I would prefer to by Robin Hood by itself

they normally are released seperately as well, so i dont see why the studio wouldn't do that in this case as well

The only one I own is Blazing Saddles, so this looks like it might be worth getting. I always enjoyed Robin Hood, and Young Frank is great. I haven't seen Silent Movie. History of the World is good too.

It's good to be the king.
