how annoying is the dude in the wheel chair at the end of level 11, i hate him every time i have almost ended him he takes some falsh and gets better, then kills the rest of my boys

Huge problem with this game: I passed that annoying bastard in the wheelchair and now I'm at this level where it starts out in a subway, and I have to go out and frame a different gang (they wear yellow) by breaking and entering into various places. It tells me I have to steal 50 items. There is only two stores I can find and I can steal twenty items, tops. I usually don't get stuck in games like The Warriors but I don't know what in god's name they want me to do! ANybody help me out?
