Tom Cruise has reportedly stopped an episode of South Park that mocks him from being aired in Britain. The show, in which Nicole Kidman and Cruise's fellow Scientologist John Travolta are depicted attempting to coax an animated version of the actor out of a closet caused controversy when broadcast in the US. The cartoon Kidman tells Cruise, "Don't you think this has gone on long enough? It's time for you to come out of the closet. You're not fooling anyone." - referring to allegations about Cruise's sexuality. According to TheRegister.co.uk, Paramount has agreed not to show the episode again, after Cruise complained. A source tells the site, "Tom is famously very litigious and will go to great lengths to protect his reputation. Tom was said not to like the episode and Paramount just didn't dare risk showing it again. It's a shame that UK audiences will never see it because it's very funny."

Wow. The older he gets, the bigger the dick he becomes. Maybe that's why he was able to land Katie. What a prize she is. Between First Daughter and Dawson's Creek I still can't decipher why she is such the star she is today. Wait... I know! Michael Keaton gives great referrals to anyone who doesn't scrape his dick on their teeth.
I know a schmoe made a 'what if' post about this, but the search engine is still shacked up somewhere collecting unemployment.

But if Cruise isn't gay then he is right to fight to keep them from saying lies about him. If he is gay I think he would come out- it's not like he is afraid to make any waves and his career isn't based on romance movies so I don't see how his being gay would put anything at risk for him. He seems to spend a lot of time in romances with women- why would he do that if he was gay. Many closeted gay men did not do this. They might have a marriage for awhile but then it is all pushed aside so they can spend time with men (Elton John, Carey Grant, Rock Hudson).

No one is spreading lies about him. It's a episode of South Park, not Hollywood Insider or Entertainment Tonight.
If it was a tabolid source, I'd understand perhaps. But this is the equivalent to a skit on Saturday Night Live, only in cartoon version and much funnier.
You shouldn't have a right to stop people from making fun of you.

Can't he just hire his old publicist again, please. The episode was pretty funny, and it shouldn't bother Tom Cruise too much. He just needs to get a sense of humor.
Does anyone know if he wanted the network to pull the show because the show was calling him a fag, or because it called his religion a cult? I'm guessing he didn't even watch it. He probably just heard someone was calling him gay again, and now he has to do damage control. And you guys are right, the guy has ZERO sense of humor. He probaby like Martin Lawrence movies.

The funniest thing about all of this is that Cruise must not watch SOUTH PARK at all, considering that they shit on EVERYONE, every RACE, every RELIGION in every single episode. He's just one of a long line of people/subjects that have been made fun of.
So, the joke's on him for being an idiot and overreacting to a cartoon.

I am sure Cruise hasn't even watched it. If he had, he would have seen how unfunny and unispired it was, and wouldn't have bothered. I am sorry people it just wasn't funny, like most South Park's lately.

Funny how Cruise is a dick for wanting to protect his public image, but those asswipes from South Park are given a pass cause they "offend everyone" and therefore should be given carte blanche.
Scary how shit has changed in this country.
South Park did it right with the Michael Jackson stuff cause of the shit we already know about him. That was satire and parody. SP crossed the line with Cruise as well as Mel Gibson cause there wasnt and isnt any basis to their shit. Its all unfounded. I love skewering humor, but I also pause and reflect if theres a basis for it.
And Team America still sucks ass and I couldnt believe it came from the same people who made Bigger Longer...
Tom Cruise comes across as a really nice guy in interviews, but I'm sure under all that he really is a giant wank stain.
Cruise is so rich, he's probably had Katie 'chipped', just like Stepford Wives.
I can't believe he's tried to censor the show, what a fucking idiot. That's the worst thing to do. Because of the fuss more people will be interested in seeing it, like me. I never watch South Park, but thanks to the link provided above I shall.

Couldn't possibly have said it better. And why is he so upset about a satirical show? Is there something he doesn't want to acknowledge here? Something to hide maybe? He should have laughed it off.

This just brought up a question for me: Are there any gay Scientologists? And what's the Church of Scientology stance on homosexuality/lebianism/bisexuality?
And here's the answer:
http://www.xenu.net/archive/projects/qd-leaflets/h2-1.txt
So I'm guessing if they're against it, just like many chucrh's than if Cruise is gay ( ) they would obviously teach him to suppress it, or as they put it "process" him.
This would sooooooo explain a LOT of his behavior.
And Lynn7, one of the many reasons I believe Cruise to be gay is one: he once stated he wanted to join the priesthood. There have been many men who once the realized they were gay ran to the priesthood thinking it would "cure" them of they're homosexuality. That came up with DISASTROUS results.
When he was married to Mimi Rogers, she came out later and said that Cruise mentioned a desire for celibacy in their relationship in order to contain his energy and/or intensity. A lot of girls who have been in relationships with men who hadn't come out of the closet yet have heard many a creative excuse to explain why their boyfriend doesn't want to have sex with them.
Another clue is his aggressive litigiousness towards anyone who questions his sexaulity of manhood. Many, many, many an actor have had the gay accusation thrown at them, and none of them have acted as aggressively as Cruise has.
Remember all those years ago when people said Keanu Reeves was fucking David Geffen? I rarely heard a peep out of him on that. Why? Because if you know you're not gay you don't have to do anything, except do what you do everyday and eventually the truth comes out.
When you make a big stink of it, you're only creating a big spotlight on it and only making people wonder more.
Cruise takes this incredibly far and I think its because he is ashamed of being gay and has escaped into the Church which he probably thinks has "cured" him.
The man is considered a sex symbol to many a woman. Whether he does romantic films or not doesn't matter, he does ACTION FILMS. That tends to have a male audience, and since Cruise is in it that brings in the female audience. Now imagine he comes out. Can you imagine what happens to that demographic?
A lot of people in Hollywood know Tom Cruise is gay, but he makes money and no one is gonna rock that boat, not even him.

I hate everyone involved. Parker, Stone, Cruise and even the future star of Gabriella, Katie Holmes.
Fuck 'em all.
Can he do that? Really? Is that legal? I'm not from the U.K or the U.S but...getting a TV show banned?
Something about it just seems not right, but then again everything about Tom Cruise seems not right...

UK libel laws are far looser. About all you really have to do is prove someone hurt your feelings :D

SO the almighty Schnoz shut down that episode of South Park in the UK.
Good job, jerkoff.
Of course, like anything you keep people from seeing, they'll usually clamor for it more and more because YOU say they can't see it.
They're afraid of getting sued, it's understandable.
Funny how many magazines have speculated on his being gay over the years and he dismissed or "silently sued" them, BUT NOW, South Park is spoofing him and it will no longer be tolerated!
I doubt he's ever watched the show, I really doubt he's seen the episode. I haven't heard a word from him about them spoofing the SCIENTOLOGY RELIGION though. Hmm. Just him being gay. Double HMM.
Such a devout scientologist too. Hmm.
Food for thought, y'all.

Ummm....there WAS a basis for all the shit in the Scientology episode. Read up on scientology sometime, South Park's observation about the cult (yes...CULT) is one hundred percent correct. Down to where Kyle tells Stan that Hubbard kept getting in trouble with the feds for having little boys on his boat. Hell, even I knew that Hubbard was known for saying, "The best way to make money would be to START YOUR OWN RELIGION."
And hell, the Cruise stuff probably has a lot of basis as well. The guy can't take a gay joke, and it's usually the ones who can't take it that are insecure about their sexuality. All signs point to him being closet homosexual and not being able to deal with it. And because he can't deal with it, he turns into a dick towards anyone who dare make fun of him.
Fuck him. The SP episode's funny as hell and was pretty much right, IMO.
