I loved the Crying Freeman Series and Angel Cop, Mad Bull, Cyber Police. Is there any new stuff as brutal as the anime from the mid 90's?

Well, there's Gantz and Elfen Lied wich are very gory.

And from the mid 90's there's MD Geist (I personally didn't like it, but if you enjoyed Angel Cop and Crying Freeman maybe you'll like it), 3x3 Eyes and Battle Angel Alita.
