If it wasn't for the injuries, we might have been saying goodbye to the greatest player to ever play the game. Regardless, Mario Lemieux is a hockey legend, and he'll be missed on the ice.

Mario is one of the greatest players ever. It's a shame he had so many injuries and the disease. He brought respect back to the Penguins, which isn't an easy thing to do. Goodbye to Mario, and I hope he can stay healthy in his after-hockey life.

I hated the guy for years until his cancer. Ive been a huge fan ever since. I raise my glass to him.
