SCARLETT + EWAN HIT THE HIGH NOTES ON NEW LULLABY ALBUM

THE ISLAND stars SCARLETT JOHANSSON and EWAN McGREGOR have teamed up again to record adult-themed lullabies.

The actors are among the celebrities who have recorded standards, with the backing of the LOS ANGELES PHILHARMONIC orchestra, for a new album, UNEXPECTED DREAMS: SONGS FROM THE STARS.

MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING star NIA VARDALOS, new mum JENNIFER GARNER, TERI HATCHER and LUCY LAWLESS also appear on the new album, which will be released in March (06). Sexy Johansson sings jazz classic SUMMERTIME, while McGregor croons a version of SADE's THE SWEETEST GIFT on the album.

Other highlights include JEREMY IRONS' version of BOB DYLAN's TO MAKE YOU FEEL MY LOVE and DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star Hatcher's rendition of LENNON + McCARTNEY's GOODNIGHT.

All proceeds from the project will benefit Music Matters, the Los Angeles Philharmonic's fund for music education.

I thought this was some interesting news. I've always thought that SCARLETT has wanted to record music but is afraid of looking like the other untalented Hollywood starlets that want to make that transition from acting to music. I know this is for charity but I can't help but think that perhaps this is her chance to see of she can get her foot in the door as a singer. I hope she doesn't try to cash in, but if she's good then why not. Anyway, I'm pretty sure this album will be horrible but atleast they're doing it for charity which is admirable.

Peace...

I don't know about Scarlet, but Ewan can sing like mad. Just watch Moulin Rouge.

Well at least it's being done for a useful cause. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Maybe there will be a music video with Scarlett dancing around like Shakira, that would make it all worth it.

I guess your indifference was so overwhelming that you felt the need to point it out. Usually when I experience that reaction towards something I just use the "back" button.
