How did it go Puck Bond? Did you finish it all?

WHY?

You're staying in every night for a year to watch a movie. Don't get out much, eh?

Jeez, there's lotsa other ways to spend an evening. Y'know, like going to a ballgame - you've stated in your profile that you're a sports fan, so go check out an A's game sometime (or even, shudder, the Giants). I don't know how old you are, so I don't know if much of the Bay Area nightlife is a possibility, but you live in a pretty happenin' part of the country with I assume myriad entertainment options.

Are you planning to go out to the movies at all during this time? What do your friends think of this obsessive quest of yours? Considering you own all these movies and so have most likely seen them already, I'm curious as to what your motive is.

With my film collection I'd only be able to get through about 60 films. Oh well maybe by next year I'll have enough to try it too http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well in response to whether or not I ever finished this is no...I went out, forgot, got tired or something and it never took...turns out I do have a life outside of movies...and also the fact is I'm always changing my list around so the order would be all fucked up anyway...just changed my list recently...but I think I'm going to stick with my new list apart from adding films that come out in 2002 and beyond.

I do have months when I watch a film each night...like this year from my birthday Feb 7th I watched all my top movies that came out in a year ending in 2 i.e. 1992,82,72 and so on. I'm going to do that each year now...so next year I will watch all my top fav movies that came out in a 3 year and so on and keep doing it until I expire(die) lol...Each year I will add my top 10 from that current year so 10 years from now when I watch the year 2's again I will have my top 10 list from 2002 added on. 1 reason I'm doing this is because obviously I'm obsessed and nuts, two is that often I find it hard to figure out what I want to watch most of the time...own 960 movies in my collection now and 3rd and most importantly Every 10 years I'll be watching great and classic films this helps remind me of these great films and it helps refresh my memory.

Also each year before Christmas I have another monthlong marathon thing...1 is I watch all the Bond films(all twenty) from first to last ending with the most recent one on Christmas eve...in conjunction with this I watch all the movies I gave 8/10 or higher to from 5 years ago...so this year I'll be watching my favorite films from 1997...going from last to first so this year I'll end up watching The World is Not Enough and Good Will Hunting on the same night. In addition to this I watch all my christmas movies...It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story etc....about 10/11 or so...also on the weekend nights (the last two weekends before christmas) I watch a trilogy for the whole night...for example this past year I watched...The Rambo trilogy and Die Hard trilogy on a friday night and saturday night respectively...two weeks before Christmas...and the next weekend(the last weekend before christmas) I watched The Indiana Jones trilogy and the Star Wars trilogy....eventually the 4 trilogys I will end up watching will be both Star Wars trilogy's, The Indiana Jones trilogy and of course The Lord of the Rings when they are finished and I have them all...Due to the fact that I watch these each year(again to remind me of great films/gets me in the holiday spirit/hey its christmas makes me feel like a kid again) They are not included in my each year thingy...so next year when i watch all the 3 movies I wont watch Return of the Jedi(1983) because I would have seen it just a couple of months earlier eventhough it is one of my favorite films of 1983! Clear everyone? lol...I know this all sounds weird and obsessive but I love doing this stuff...making lists and planning on what I'm going to see etc...I'm crazy I know!

Here is my list of films that I'm going to watch next year starting on my birthday Feb 7th...all these came out in a year ending in 3.
