it was ok at first, Edward was actually using alchemy, then later in the show was just using stupid powers out of nowhere.

I'm not sure what angelman was talking about regarding the end. I mean, it's not the end. There's a movie that puts the finishing touches on the show. I think it was kind of rushed through production though because I've never seen an anime deviate this much from the manga. Overall I have a few problems with it, most of them relating to Scar, Roy, and the Humunculus, but I really liked the show and the movie was pretty sweet too.
