I don't like to start a new thread without being able to reference a specific news article, but I've been hearing about this on the radio for the last few days and I thought it was celeb news worthy.
IT SEEMS that Paris Hilton, this uber rich nimrod was renting a storage space to store her very important items.
(Now, I'm the manager of a storage facility, so the story already interested me.)
SO ANYWHO, it seems that this imbecile forgot to pay on her storage space. You see, in my neck of the woods, after 60 days of non payment of a stoarge space, we must put the space up for auction.
AND that's what happened to all of the things inside of this dunderhead's space. Some lucky bastard bought the space at an auction and supposedly, there are TONS of interesting items inside the space. This guy is, of course, taking bids on the things in the space for a reported $10 MILLION DOLLARS (Dr. Evil pose optional).
Now first off, she owed, as I hear about $2700 dollars on the space. At my facility, we MUST BY LAW make a multiple of attempts to contact the owner of the space before we auction it, usually because when you look for $2700 dollars in rent, some cheap ass auction goers will say "I'll give ya $50 for it!" and if no one else wants the stuff, you take it and lose $2650.
WHAT IS THIS STUPID ASS BROAD THINKING?! $2700 dollars would save her the payday that this lucky son of a beesting is going to get for getting it back to her?
This is epitome of stupidity. She could've set up an account that had her space paid on monthly. We do it all the time. I-D-I-O-T.
She's just lucky she wasn't storing her stuff with me.
$15 mil would be my price tag, I'd friggin retire...
AND I'D BUY EVERY SCHMOE A BRAND NEW CAR!
