This song from From A Basement On the Hill has been on repeat for the last week. I don't know if anyone else enjoys it, or if it's already been discussed, but I've found with Smith overall that he has a few really mind blowing songs, and the rest range from ok to quite good.

I was just curious if anyone else has really listened to this tune, if anyone else digs it, or if I'm going quickly insane? Or some combination.

I absolutely agree. I think it's the best song on that album, and one of his best, period. It's one of those songs that progresses beautifully, and knowing about his fate after the song was recorded make the lyrics REALLY creepy. Great, haunting song.

The sad thing is that could have been the direction his music would have gone, not so stripped-down. That whole album is amazing.
