yea this looks a little to much like the reverse of Madagascar.

I'll see this for two reasons: Sutherland & Shatner!

This does seem like Disney's version of MADAGASCAR, same as Dreamworks cooked up versions of A BUG'S LIFE (ANTZ) and FINDING NEMO (SHARK TALE). I gotta say -- this does look more interesting, though. First off because the voice over lineup is a lot cooler in my mind (Kiefer Sutherland, Eddie Izzard, William Shatner beats Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer ANY day in my book). And second of all, because if those stills are reflective of the quality of the animation, then it's gonna be a technically gorgeous picture, whereas MADAGASCAR wasn't much more than a 3D cartoon.

I agree James, the quality of the animation for this looks really incredible.

Ditto.
But I'm not too interested in watching this because of reasons already made; The Wild looks like a (slight) rip-off to "Madagascar", although this could be better as Disney films usually are when compared against Dreamworks (besides Shrek).
The poster doesn't look bad though.

It looks like it might be a solid cartoon.

I avoided it the first time, when it was called Madagascar.

Me, personally, I find DW is always trying to compete, now it's in the reverse?!
Madagascar sucked, and this is looking just as bad.
Let's face it Disney doesn't produce quality flicks anymore, except via Pixar, and that looks - IMO - as if they are going to bomb with Cars - on my birthday (June 9th,) of all days.
I see no storyline with Cars, other than they race around. I realize this is ignorant to say, but my ignorance spawns from the fact they have shown no storyline in any of these trailers, just them racing around, like Nascar.

First of all, Madagascar was hilarious. But second of all, the trailer looks like they are going "wild" (pun intended) in NYC, not on some island like Madagascar was- I think I may have caught a glimpse of Times Square if I'm not mistaken.
But regardless, the animation looks stellar. I always enjoy films like this.

Blech.
Thats about all i have to say about how this looks.
It can still be a great movie, its just not grabbing my attention in any special way atm.

Want to know what actually grabbed my attention the most? The koala. I would venture to say that I have never seen a koala in an animated film - which makes this kind of appealing, I suppose. I like to see how they have each different animal moving. Maybe that's because I am a CGI nerd.

I remember watching the trailer for this on some DVD I had to review and it looked awful. The animation didn't flow well either (although that might be because it wasn't finished yet - I don't know).

Eddie Izzard? I'm there.
The trailer made me want to see this..whereas I tried watching Madagascar and I just could not get into it at all.

Did you happen to notice the rest of the cast? Pretty interesting group of people...

I admit that when madagascar came out in theaters, I avoided it at all costs. I thought it looked ok, but just wasnt interested in seeing it at all. It came out on dvd, and my gf rented it. So I watched it, and it was actually not bad. A little short, but it had some really funny parts. I laughed out loud a couple times. This does look like a complete ripoff. The animation maybe be better, but come on, it has almost the exact same animals!

The same animals?! The only one I see that is similar is the lion, but that's it. I suppose we can call this a rip off of the Lion King as well then. In this one, there's a croc, a giraffe, some sort of snake thingy, and a koala, which I must say I have never seen in an animated movie before.
