Why cant child services step in and take the kid away from her? First she drives with the poor thing in her lap, now she's forgoing all Mother responsibilities to go to Mardi Gras and party.

Looks to me like Britney, like her or not, is doing a good thing. She's appearing on a TV event, bringing stuff and attention, and indirectly helping do good to a great city, which also happens to be in the state she was born in and hails from.

The kids can stay with a nanny for a night or two. I mean, I have my Britney hatred like everyone, but some bashing is undeserved.

Personally I think it's a good idea for women to occasionally take off some time from their baby. The father can easily handle the kid. If it were the father partying, nobody would make a fuss about it.

Depends what she is doing this for.

If she is genuinely trying to help the city and it's people get back to having fun, then yeah, her there to add to it's profile is a good thing.

If she is just going to there to do some media whoring then that makes her a shocking mother.

Judging by the baby seat incident last week I know which one i'm leanng towards.
