Seriously.

I recall reading about this film sometime in mid-2005. I also recall that it got nasty reviews at some festival or another. After that, it fell off the map almost entirely.

Will "Revolver" ever see the light of day in the US? Despite all the criticism directed towards Guy Ritchie, I would love to see his new film. Besides, the inclusion of The Liotta makes it a must-see.

All I can find out is that it comes out in the UK on DVD March 6... Other than that, the only release info is that it's coming out sometime this year over here. But don't expect it in theaters (the horrible B.O. performance of Swept Away killed that hope).

That's really disappointing, as I am sure that fan's of Ritchie's work in gangster cinema didn't even bother seeing "Swept Away" (which, incidentally, wasn't all that bad).

"Revolver" is more in line with Ritchie's central body of work and I really, really hope that it gets a theatrical release stateside.

I persoanlly dont care for Ritchie films and despised Swept Away but I would like to see this just to see what the critics hated so much about it.

To tell you guys all the truth that as a huge fan of Guy Ritchie myself, Revolver was one of the worst movies of last year. I managed to get a copy of the movie and it sucked the big one. It was extremely deranged all throughout and did not have a hint of comedic relief. It felt so much like a Brian De Palma film than a Guy Ritchie film. But you guys can see it for yourself and decide. I for one will never own the movie but Snatch and Lock Stock remain my two favourites.

It's definitely a disaster, though I actually watched the movie twice and found it more tolerable the second time...

I do think it has some box office potential in the States (because of Statham), so I don't see why it's not being released.

I liked it, i liked it quite a bit, kinda a mind fuck movie, the reason you havent seen the movie release in north america is because of the last 10mins, anyone who has seen this movie knows what i'm talking about.

If you can avoid spoilers, can you elaborate at all? Do the last 10 minutes feature extreme content in some way? Any political statement that would render the film unpopular in the States?

Guy Ritchie is a director that has fallen victim to his early successes. LS&TSM and Snatch are both funny, smart films. Revolver is an incoherent mess that makes you feel like you'll never get those hundred minutes back. Dont waste youre time on this turkey.

He's fallen victim to his wife... Madonna... (RE: "Swept Away") and I've heard Revolver has some crazy non-sensical Khabalah theme running throughout it.

SPOILERS (BIG TIME BIG TIME BIG TIME SPOILERS)

truth is, i have NO idea what you're talking about. i've seen it twice and love it (i plan on buying it if it's ever released in the u.s). i can guess though, and it's either A) the exclusion of end credits or B) ray liotta shooting himself? which isn't at all in any sort of extreme, since it's not even on camera. which is why i'm assuming A,

Wellll... what im talking about? I saw the movie with 4 people, and everyone i was with liked the movie but did not understand the end at all, im not going to try to explain it but towards the end of the movie the whole style and mood is changed drasticaly with very many looseends left open. And that doesnt test positive with crowds, and that is why u will not see this movie released here.

But like i said, i liked all the actors and enjoyed the movie because i found it very entertaining with good dialogue.
