Let the Larry-bashing commence! Personally, I think he's one of the funniest and most original comics going today. I've seen his act several times. I know there are a lot of people who don't care for his humor and that's fine. I'm just stunned that he's getting his own movie. Oh by the way, that is "Biff" in the trailer.

Yeah, well...Jeff Buckley was right to commit suicide.
 :D
Nah, not really. (And for the record, HC, you were right about him.)
I would imagine there are a lot of Larry haters out there. However, I've had the opportunity to see the man do stand up and listen to his commentary on various radio programs. And to put it bluntly, this film looks beneath his talent. I'm being serious, here. The Blue Collar films and the TV show were just a tiny sample of his range. I've seen at least one person here dismiss him as some KKK reject. And I have to say that was just a case of being uninformed.
Yes, redneck humour can be ridiculous. And many times, people just get a few seconds of Larry's act and just dismiss it. But then again, how many people ran around hating Earnest P. Worrell before Jim Varney died? Probably several. I don't fault the man for getting some face time. It gives him a chance to build himself up and maybe write some of his own material for films. Laugh all you want, but I see this as an opportunity to stretch out and get some ideas into the mainstream. I hope that people give this guy a chance to show he has more in his head than just fart jokes and redneck sight gags.
After seeing his show, I had the chance to meet him. He stayed and signed autographs for every fan. He sold some merchandise, all of which he signed. And he truly loved meeting the people there. He was hysterical in his stand up and he's a hell of a guy. I hope this film isn't one giant ball of cheese, but I know better. Here's hoping his career does nothing but go forward, though. What I've seen and heard goes way beyond this.

The fact is his humor is idiotic and has to be taken in this mannor. That said he is fucking hilarious, although stupid, he is hilarious and im not sure if he is worth hating like the majority seem to be doing.

I didn't like Larry the Cable Guy at first, but his humor has grown on me. The film looks alright.

EVERYONE GATHER ROUND!!! ITS TIME FOR THE FIRST COCKSMOKINCLERK HORROR STORY!!!
about 3 or 4 years ago when this guy was first starting to get popular, i was on vacation with my cousin who brought his larry the cable guy cd and was really excited to show it to me and have me listen to it, i listened to it and i thought it was pretty funny at first, about just as much as i liked jeff foxworthy back when he was popular (but now that i think about it there were tons of "you might be a redneck" bullshit back then too) but i have the cd to my dad who thought was good, but thats where it went bad the entire fucking week we listened to nothing but the same fucking cd over and over and over and over and over again, you can imagine how much i fuckin' hated to hear "git r done" after that week, so hence.......... fuck that stupid redneck
