At my school, the International Thesbian Soceity is going to make a film. I'm the director and writer, so I just wanted to see what you all thought.

The film is a mismash of Argento, Hitchcock, and de Palma type suspense thrillers. We are not trying to be original AT ALL!

The plot is a little bit familiar as you can tell. "Suspense writer Marcus Daily had a few million fans and ONE fanatic" is the tagline.

The story is: a bored, adulterous housewife is murdered in an elevator and pages of suspense writer Marcus Daily's Shock are found in her throat. Marcus himself has just arrived in town on tour and hears the news from Captain Connors. The eyewitness is prostitute Camilla who said it was tall, black, blonde woman. As the bodies pile up, the housewife's son Cody teams up with Camilla, Marcus, Connors, and a few others to find who murdered his mother and why this killer is mudering for Marcus. What is Cody's mother's psychiatrist covering up? Who is leaving strange phone calls? What secret lies in the book that Cody's mother was working on with two of the otehr victims? Eventually, a house of secrets is revealed and terrifying childhood traumas are discovered.

It's Deep Red/Tenebre/Dressed to Kill/Psycho! It's a greatest hits collection of some of the masters' best work.

What do you think?

Is this going to be a short or a feature length?

it's feature length. It would be kinda stupid to make it a short. The script is 96 pages, so it'll be more of a 100 minutes.

As for the content, we still do not have the script approved by the principal, but we are jsut going to go ahead and begin shooting, or else we won't have enough time. Then if he doesn't find something to be appropriate, then we will cut what ever we have to.

The onlt thing that will be a problem is some of the sexual content, which doesn't have any real sex scenes, just lots of inuindo. The gore might propose a probelm too, but this is for a fundraiser, so if the trailer and posters are good, it will sell lots of tickets.

But as far as the plot goes, it sounds good enough. I like the opening murder and the aftermath sounds pretty gnarly. I just don't like the whole "The son (how old is this kid?) teams up with a group of strangers to find out who murdered his mother!" which I don't think is realistic (unless the son is actually a grown man, but it still sounds sort of tacky). Otherwise, I do like the plot.

By the way, weren't you still in post-production of "North Woods"? Won't it be hard to juggle two productions at the same time?

We start filming in two weeks. North Woods post is still going on, but I don't have much to do with the editing as in I'm not the one doing it. My friend Jason(Jaywolf, on the boards) is actually helping out a ton.

The actual orignality is sort of off and on. Some moments are very inspired and others, most horror/suspsense fans can see coming a mile away. While it isn't totally original(what is?), it does have some plot twists the the actors read and said "Oh My God, that is crazy" So it does have some stuff going for it, specially for more mainstream people who haven't seen many of these types of films. People like us will sniff a lot of the film out before it happens, though.

As for the kid, he is 16, not like 7 or anything. He does become very resourceful and he does die, so don't worry about that. I'll try to post some pics or poster art as soon as we begin filming. The whole two week thing is something I'm hoping, we should at least be able to get one day of shooting in.

Oh there we go.") I guess it's all right. Just hope they can't predict the big plot turns which is what really matters.

Wouldn't it be easier to get 20/22 year old actors? Because that age seems more realistic for a character who's going to embark on such "quest".

Well it's high school actually. We are all in high school. And Cody ispsying on the psychiatrist's office, taking pictures of each patient that walks out and he sees the blonde woman who Camilla described, he follows her to Camilla, who is attacked and eventually saved by Cody, who then begins to put the pieces together and go to the others, even Connors to confirm their results. Really, everyone has a different agenda in the film. Everyone has their own ideas about things and msot of them work alone and then come back to report thier findings.

And bTW, Jaywolf told me you read an early screenplay of North Woods, but I can't rememebr ever letting you read one. Have I gone crazy?

I asked you to send me a copy when I was working on the cover art for the movie. Or even before that, I don't remember. I read it, I just never told you what I thought.

Yeah, sorry. I'm obviously not the best speller.

The killer is man pretending to be this alter ego named Serena. But right when you think the case is solved, the kills start up again, so that's not the big plot twist.
