After having one film already go down the crapper right before it started filming I decided to go ahead and write another one. This one is a zombie one. It's a basic storyline, and its basically set with high schoolers.

I figured to make it a bit different than other zombie movies, I would have these kids horror fanatics so they know all about the zombies. So they know what to do. I'm trying to stress the point that you spend your whole life obsessing about something but it doesn't mean you can actually handle the situation when it arises.

So anyways I need help with plausible gore factors. I need some tips on how to make some of this flesh biting goodness look good. Because in the ending the shit hits the fan and everyone dies and I just want a huge bloodbath.

Any and alls tips would be appreciated at this point. This is so low budget filmmaking that I can't stress it enough so it needs to be practical. Thanks for an and all help guys!

This forum (http://www.allthingszombie.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1557) apparently has some decent homemade gore effect techniques.

This guide (http://www.exposure.co.uk/eejit/blood/index.html) tells you how to make bullet wound effects (which I'd assume you'd use for a zombie movie) without much effort.

For some good skin-peeling, all you need is a bottle of liquid latex, which you can buy at makeup stores for like 6$.

Just apply the latex to the skin, blowdry it till it's clear, and peel away!

You can also create some groovy wrinkly skin textures by stretching the skin and applying it, drying it, then letting the skin return. This works best on the cheeks, puff them out when you apply it.

For a good dead-flesh sort of look, paint the latex over a kleenex onto the skin, looks awesome.

This is a photo of my make up that I did on Halloween this past year. (that is if it will show up on here) It's pretty simple, a bottle of liquid latex, and some tissue paper. All you do is cover a small patch of your skin with the liquid latex, while it is damp cover it with one sheet of tissue paper, let it dry, then reapply more latex on top. Repeat, then add makeup when it's dry! it feels really cool too! :D
