I havn't see any of them but over at Reel.com they say the humor is a 10. So, I'd like to know what is the best of the Monty Python movies.

the mostly widely known i would say is Moty Python and the quest for the Holy Grail, While the is outstanding, i i really enjoy The Meaning of Life and the Life of Brian, those are my top 3

all of them equally. Too many quotes, too much hilarity. Even the Monty Python-lite has it's moments (Jabberwocky, Erik the Viking) though not Time Bandits.

Holy Grail was the first of the Python films I ever watched, and I've loved it ever since. The others are good, but this is my favourite by far.

My thoughts exactly. "Life of Brian"(10/10)is overall the better and funnier movie... but nothing is funnier than the "knights of the round table" song from "The holy grail"(9/10).
"Meaning of life"(7/10) I found too dark, and it's not even as good as "And now for something completely different"(8/10)

I heard they were funny when they came out but now that there old it's outdated and I wouldn't get much of the jokes.

Well allow us Shmoes to guide you and show you the light my fellow Shmoe.... believe me Python is NEVER outdated, .....why I personnally guarantee you will like these films , and if not you can feed me to a killer bunny rabbit.

As far as 'getting' the jokes...well see, I just never 'got' that whole British Humor/Whatever else Humor division anyway...if it's funny it's funny, if it's not it's not..... I don't think you'll have a prob 'getting' the jokes, they are pretty straight forward.

Try it. gahead gahead.

I'm the only one that still think Meaning of Life is the most hilarious of them.

It's a sketch movie, but those sketchs are really really funny.

But yes, I would say Holy Grail is the most achieved of the 3 full lenght Python movies.

We're talking about a movie about medieval England, and a movie about Palestine under the Romans. How can these be outdated? There is no topical, time-sensitive humor in these.
Okay, I have to admit that I base a lot of my judgement of peoples intelligence and sense of humor (they definitely go hand in hand) with whether or not someone can quote lines from Python movies or sketches. Soneone who really doesn't get Python is probably someone I'm not going to find interesting in the least.
