Anyone know who was the first members (besides Joblo) or was one of the founding schmoes (first 20 or so). Anyone know?

Arrow, I'd believe.

Each schmoe has a number 'tag' (see it in the URL to each one's profile) that says what number he is. We're like cattle, here. I hate it!

I would think it would be Joblo himself.

I'm the 99317th member of this board. Oh and if you don't count Joblo, the 2nd member of the board is a user named Tweety. That person has no posts.

I'm 51....I think the oldest (still active) members besides Joblo and Arrow are screamer581, Tuukka and myself. We were all in the first two months of the boards.

Screamer581 is the oldest still active member. Other very first old-timers who are still more or less active are Packbacker, AntBond007, QUENTIN, Bob and myself - In that order. We signed up during the very first weeks. Stefanb also posts occasionally, but takes very long breaks in between.

Other people who signed up over 2000 and are still active are Raw Chili, DaMovieMan,Puck Bond, Daddiefatsacks, Weapon X, Adam J. Hakari, Jackson13, Ak and Dehydrator.

Almost 6 years now!

Should I be proud? :) Just kidding. I'm going to be here until the bitter end, like it or not.

I myself is nestled on page #169 of the whos who that signed up....
It looks like I AM THE ONLY active one for that day so soooooo long ago........

Is that everyone who signed up in 2000 that's still active? If so, that's quite a small number of people left from the early days of the messageboard, a lot smaller than I would've expected.

More or less, yeah. There weren't that many people who signed up in 2000 and I browsed quickly through the list. But I paid attention only to people who have 500+ posts, so there might be some people who post very rarely, or who have just recently started posting more on the board. I recognize all the regulars, thought. Especially the old ones.

The only person who I didn't include in the list was DaN, who used to be a heavy poster and who just recently posted one post in here - His first one since 2004. :)

And yeah, I didn't include Arrow, who of course was one of the very first.

Christ I had no idea I was that old!

Feels good to have been a part of this site that long.

And I honestly mean that considering I looked back through some of my first posts and was a little shithead when I started. Of course, the rules weren't as strict back then so we all got away with more. But still, man, I apoligize for being the way I was. Course, I was like 14-15, so that was expected, but still, ya know.

You want old? How many were here *before* there were message boards....or with the first message board incarnation?

I'm actually surprised there are that many still active from 2000. Six years in internet time is like fifty years. Fads/boards/communities rise and fall overnight. It's a testament to this site that it is still going strong, hell growing exponentially, this many years later!

Yeah, I remember the original boards...like the VA boards...all the threads and responses laid out in the most frustrating way possible.

But it is weird to think about how long people have been around. I was 12 when I signed up.:D Looking through my first few posts is therefore quite funny. I was so psyched for Chicken Run, bros...

I guess the longevity just speaks to the raw power of Jo's boards.

Ah, look... I'm left out! Haha... I'm a 2000 as well. So, I've been posting on the boards for nearly 6 years. And like bob, I was 12/13 when I started poting...

Wow, that was back in the day.

True... But it's weird. For me it says Dec 2000, but I think it depends on what time zones you have? Does it say Jan 2001 or Dec 2000? Because I'm seeing Dec 2000!

Yeah, it says Dec 2000 for me, too...you'll always be an old 'un in my heart...

Wow, it's been a long time for me too. I've looked at this website everyday for the past 6 years. Wow.
Kudos for Joblo.com though lasting this long.
Too bad I don't post more now. I still frequent the main site, and boards everyday, but I usually just have time to skim the boards to read. Now that I'm all grown up :) (I started on this site when I was in the 8th grade. Now I'm in the Air Force, married, and going to college.) It's hard to find time to reply to all the threads.

Anyways cheers to me, and all schmoes who have stuck around all these years.

Probably a time zone issue, yeah. So you're a 2000 member after all! :)

When you click on a profile, the url ends in a number...
