Hey everybody,
It's finally coming on May 9th and I am so excited to see it again. "Munich" will be making it's DVD debut very soon and DVDActive.com has released all of the details on a special 2-Disc Edition as well as a plain 1-Disc edition. Here are the details on both as well as the cover art which I love but would have preferred the poster version instead.
First up, look for DreamWorks' Munich to be announced soon by Universal for release on 5/9. Separate single-disc widescreen and full frame editions will be available (SRP $29.98 each) along with a 2-disc Limited Edition (SRP $36.98). The single-disc editions will have a video introduction by director Steven Spielberg. The 2-disc edition will add a 7-part behind-the-scenes documentary (including The Mission, The Team, Memories of the Event, Portrait of an Era, The On-Set Experience, The International Cast and Editing, Sound and Music).
Awesome! Here is the cover art, it does make the movie look like a full blown action movie in a way which kinda sucks since it isn't.

I remember there were four that they were debating on and out of those four (two of which actually represented the movie quite nicely) that's the one they chose? Well, I guess from a marketing standpoint it works for our ADD ridden society...

no matter what the politics of the film or how you feel......Munich is just a really damn good historical/realistic drama/thriller...with action.. the action is awesome and there but i definately wouldn't call the film a straight-up action/adventure film...as it is much more than that....If i did blind-buy this i would be very happy with it...but i saw it in the theater, so im just getting it anyways

I will be buying the two-disc. I think they should've kept the artwork from the poster for the DVD.

Munich is a very good and riveting film. Spielberg does an extraordinary job directing, while Eric Bana gives a great performance that carries the film (I thought he got robbed of an oscar nomination).
Although, don't expect an 'action thriller' or anything like that. Munich is a thought-provoking film that makes you look at violence, and how we react to it. It's not like the cool or enjoyable violence that you would see in a Tarintino film. The film focuses more on the effects of violence than the actual violence.
In my opinion, this was the best film of 2005.

Ditto. The artwork does not reflect the film at all. As I said before, they should've kept the artwork from the original poster. Oh well, from what I've heard, Spielberg is a fan of this site, so, hopefully, he'll be reading this thread....unlikely, but, it can happen. :)

Kind of like the Jarhead single-disk and two disk. The two-disk art is always so much better.

This has been pretty much the most anticipated DVD release for me. The 2 Disc Special Edition package looks amazing. The names inscribed on the DVD cover remind me of the names on the Schindler's List movie poster.
