Chronicles of Narnia 2 Disc Special edition 27.97 at Wal Mart?

Is it just me, or are two disc editions getting more expensive. First to kick off this trend was Walk the Line, followed by Jarhead. I just got back from Wal-Mart and was shocked to see a sticker price of 27.97 on the CoN 2 discer. Now, I loved Narnia like the rest of the world but this price is a tad bit steep for a stockman/chasier at Hobby Lobby. Is this a new trend or waht is going on? I expect to pay maybe $22-24 for some two discers, but getting up towards thirty dollars is a bit much(save for the Sin City set that had a friggin comic with it.)

The 2-Disc version has a SRP of $34.99, the 1-Disc version $29.99. Seems to me retailers are heavily discounting the 1-Disc version which most likely will sell more anyway. Buena Vista is reporting first-day sales of four million units, which is very impressive.

It's Disney, their Special Editions usually are astronomically expensive. I still haven't got Howl's Moving Castle for my girlfriend just because I don't think it's worth $25+

I picked up the 2-disc at Target for only 24.99. I love the case, but yea the 2-discer prices are goin up.

i got mine at target too, but yeah i'm with ya guys, this sucks, but its not gonna stop me from getting SEs

i don't know what wal mart you go to but the one by me in old bridge , nj. is $22.99 for the 2 disc. the one with the red cover.

Nope, I thought it was terribly mediocre and Liam Neeson doing Aslan was just awful, IMO.

Ok, maybe loved isn't the best word to describe it. I did like it enough though to want to buy it. I thought the ending battle was pretty cool but the Mr. Tumbnus/Lucy sexual tension kinda creeped me out.
