Have a feeling I'll be leaving the theater with some bittersweet (and hopefully not just bitter) emotions. It's go-time now!

Squid Vicious 07-07-2012 10:33 PM

Never heard of this movie. What's it about?

ilovemovies 07-07-2012 11:41 PM

Looks like a piece of shit with one of the biggest hacks working in hollywood!

SpikeDurden 07-07-2012 11:45 PM

I'll be skipping it.

You sad little troll.

darkface 07-08-2012 10:26 AM

I've never been so excited for a film. I was pumped for TDK, but this is on a new level. What's crazy is I didn't even care much for it 60 days ago. TDKR never really released any details, no production stills, no synopsis, tv spots, etc. So I figured the movie was going to be "okay" and never really anticipated it. However, the last 30 days have been crazy with Bat info.

Can't wait!

He was joking...

I have a feeling people are going to expecting waaaaay too much after TDK. I'm going in with the mindset of expecting something along the lines of Batman Begins.

Early reviews say otherwise.

Not sure if this was posted - 13 Minute Featurette of The Dark Knight Rises, that recaps everything Christopher Nolan has done throughout this Batman saga - http://bit.ly/MT85Sm

PBateman 07-08-2012 01:35 PM

After months of displaying excellent self control regarding the hype over TDKR,i've sucumb to it all and now have risen to full retard status over this. The first true event movie of the new decade

could anyone post some of them? I know there's probably an embargo right now, and that people aren't allowed to post anything but vague generalities, but still, I'd enjoy reading some of them.

MidnightAngel 07-08-2012 03:34 PM

Will The Dark Knight Rises break The Avengers box office record?

Damn this film will arrive july 25 where i am from.

CuatroDiablos 07-08-2012 03:39 PM

I think it will break Avatars record.

YES!

Words cannot even begin to express my level of excitement and anticipation for The Dark Knight Rises. I really should try to curb my excitement, but I can't help myself. I'm literally counting the days off my calendar. I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT!!!!

I purchased my tickets for the marathon nearly a month ago! It's going to be an epic, awesome day! 9 straight hours of The Dark Knight! :D

By the way: Anyone else buy tickets for the marathon?

Strider

actually just laughed out loud reading this

Flimmaker1473 07-09-2012 02:20 AM

For people who are going to see the whole trilogy opening night at AMC theaters here is how it is going down.

Starts at 6pm with Batman Begins. There is a 25 minute break before The Dark Knight Then a 45 minute break before The Dark Knight Rises. Tickets are 25 dollars for 2D. $40 for Imax.

I am considering watch the trilogy. But I am betting I work that day. I guess I could try to watch it while I am at work. If I went to another theater (which I want to the one work at is small) I would have to actually pay to get in instead of watching it for free. I am not looking forward to this film that much anyway. But it is Batman.

echo_bravo 07-09-2012 06:42 AM

Most anticipated film of all time.

I'm gonna try my best to stay the hell away from reviews/imdb/and this place for the next 11 days.

ilovemovies 07-09-2012 07:22 AM

I don't know if I would go so far as to say it's my most anticipated movie of all time but there are only a handful movies I can think of that I was this excited.

bigred760 07-09-2012 08:49 AM

I'll be watching Batman (Burton's), Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight this week in anticipation for TDKR. Looking forward to re-watching those puppies too.

Darth Kenshin 07-09-2012 10:56 AM

I dunno. Not to sound like a troll, but the trailers have been extremely underwhelming.

That said, I trust Nolan, and really liked the first two movies (actually think over time, Batman Begins has become a little underrated). So I'll be seeing this, if not opening day, definitely opening weekend. But I can't say I'm as excited for this as I was for other movies.

CuatroDiablos 07-09-2012 12:57 PM

Well , you can have the best trailer in the world ...but the movie could be the biggest pile of shit ever created. Trailers should not be considered on how good or bad the movie will turn out.

That is exactly how I feel.

I am starting to get a little excited for this though. I hope it surprises me.

Nope. Maybe in the top five though. I would say the Avengers was even more anticipated.

Mr.HyDe807 07-09-2012 05:39 PM

For me, Nolan's track record has been impeccable, and that's what has me most excited/optimistic for this. He tries to one-up himself every time, and this film (as it appears in TV spots/trailers) seems to play into those expectations for me.

I got my trilogy tickets, and I can't wait!

Flimmaker1473 07-09-2012 05:41 PM

Nolan will disappoint one day. Could be this movie.
