Eh, we were supposed to have robotic maids and flying cars by now, be living on the Moon.
No, no, we need an extra G on our cellphones, that's MUCH more important.

Let's go, technology!
I want Rosie the friggin robot already!
I want my pineapple upside down cake!
...grrr!

Besides the massive amounts of grey hair (thanks for the reminder Bondgirl:p) I really don't think it will be that much different then it is now.

Cool article. Reminds me of the AT&T commercial narrated by Tom Select that talked about several coming technologies that ended with "you will". They all took longer than I think presented, but they all came true.

Tom Select? Your words are pure gold. ;)

A pile of rubble after some trigger happy muppet pushes the red button.

outsyder 08-25-2012 08:21 PM

Mostly like it is now.

creekin111 08-25-2012 08:41 PM

It'll be like that Australian movie The Road Warrior. :D

Erroneous 08-27-2012 08:07 PM

I don't know, but I hope it is better than now.

Ah we will be proberly be living in space by 2023 on one of the planets

I am only kidding about that

I do think that things are changing look how we go into a supermarket and now use self scan and a lady which is prerecorded and tells us to pick up our bags full of food

We are also using cards instead of money and using computer more for paying things instead of being served by a person

I am not sure what is in store for us in 2025 and l bet there will be more changes in this time

jolanar 08-28-2012 07:46 PM

Skynet will probably be activated by then by my estimation.

And that scares the hell out of me. There is an internet provider called Skynet based in Europe somewhere, forget which country. Austria?
I always think that there's a film we all know about in which something may come true, with disastrous effects.

Oh, and that dude running around here called Skynet. I bet that fella knows something we don't?

:p:D:)

It will be pretty much like it is today, but everyone will have much thinner, lighter phones (that will still have shitty sound quality, but no one cares because they can still get on YouTube), and teenagers will be exponentially more annoying.

THIS.. THIS.. THIS. The key word being exponentially. Oh my, I can't wait :p

magjournal 09-15-2012 01:14 PM

I predict that in 2023, at least twenty percent of the population will be descended from my loins.

Glinda 09-30-2012 05:20 PM

You won't even notice the changes until you look back of course. I still remember when Prince's 1999 came out. I remember thinking "OMG I'll be old by then and will I even still want to party when it's 1999?"

Thankfully when 1999 did hit, I wasn't as "old" as I had previously envisioned myself to be. No walking cane or anything needed.

The world had changed so much, but you don't notice it til you look back.

Bondgirl 09-30-2012 10:21 PM

Well that is very true

When you loom back in time things have changed to a certain exstent

Well l remember when you would go into the bank with your bank book and now it is all cards plus they prefer you to be outside the bank than being inside doing your banking plus alot of people do there banking online

I hate this because l prefer person to person contact so if something goes wrong it can be fixed straight away

Also when you go shopping you sue the self service machine instead of going to the sales assistent

In the end this area and others will be controled by computers

Here's what I think will happen in America by 2013.

We'll still have our troubles. America will still be the same Red vs Blue politics (Red possibly even more extreme and to the Right than before). The countries of Europe will probably dwarf America in terms of education, social progress, and government (and America will still be saying they're the greatest in the world).

Technology will improve and paradigms will change, and companies' money-making strategies will remain the same, not adapting to these new software and hardware developments. Piracy will still run rampant.

Movies and television will become more conservative and censored in terms of what you can and can't have: even less sexual content and adult language will be allowed; even implications will be considered "pushing the envelope." Our entertainment's content will be so sanitized and cleaned up that special interest groups and lobbies will become part of the development process of that film or TV program. We will have even more advertising and promotional content before we'll even get to what we paid to see (you think the 20 minutes before a movie is bad now? Wait a few years).

....at least that's what I think anyway.

Bondgirl 10-01-2012 08:57 PM

Well l was wondering if in the year of 2023 that cars will be run by electricty and petrol will know longer be needed to run a car

Also maybe if cars bypass electricty that they might be solor powered

You see things are changing by each year that passes the things we might not think thT WIll happen might happen by this year
