A Good Day to Die Hard

John McClane and his son take on local forces in Russia.

I hope this is good , the last one was suprisingly good IMO. This needs to be rated R , but I doubt it is.

CuatroDiablos 10-05-2012 08:13 AM

Wait a sec...Gruber was Russian right? I would not be surpeised if Gruber's son is the baddie here.

Brand new trailer for A Good Day to Die Hard - http://wp.me/p2CCWq-2iN

So far this doesn't look to bad. The action and look of the film seems more gritty than the last and seems that it has the Die Hard blood running through it's veins. Just give me an R rating and make the action as CGI-less as possible and you're half way home.

Did we seem the trailer? Because the trailers that I have seen, especially this new one, makes the movie look more cartoonish than ever before.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining. I still think the movie looks badass. But it's definitely not back to being gritty and is definitely as wildly cartoonish as ever.

And I hope it's rated R too. And the yippie-kiyay line is fully intact.

rustysyringe 10-26-2012 09:31 AM

"We're not a hugging family"......"Damn straight"......LOL, awesome line.

If R rated from the get go I'm there in the theater. If PG-13, I'll wait for the unrated DVD. Just like last time. Damn straight.

"Yippie Ki YaY Mother Russia"????
Too funny

I saw this trailer and I am so there.

Just so I know not to buy the already released Die Hard Collection on Blu-Ray (includes all 4 movies! :p) - There IS supposed to be a total of 6 in this series, right?

Or is this supposed to be the final Die Hard?

This better not be another PG-13 kidz club meal fest like part 4, it's needs to be R like the old trilogy and Fox should learn that it's not cool to make a PG-13 installment of an adult franchise. They should also learn that teens grow up and when they are finally old enough to watch the r-rated franchise with an r-rated new installment, they'll be glad Fox didn't dumb down that installment.

gyro_44 12-18-2012 05:45 PM

I definitely feel like they'll go PG-13 with this one. I mean, Live Free or Die Hard was released theatrically as PG-13 and it did great business. Why wouldn't they follow suit?

I hope I'm wrong about that.

I have very little hope for this one, guys. And this is coming from a guy who rather enjoyed the last one. John Moore has made a long list of rather generic films, and I can't help but feel the whole thing will feel completely played out at this point. I'm expecting the worst Die Hard movie ever.

I hope I'm wrong about that too, though.

I said the same thing about Len Wiseman ..that movie turned out to be fucking awesome.

I'm saying the look of the film looks more gritty than the last and aside from that window gag in the trailer much of the action looks practical.

PBateman 01-20-2013 09:17 PM

I agree that the look is more gritty than Wiseman's. I've been a huge Die Hard fan since 1989 when I saw Die Hard at 9 yrs old. I have to say im more pumped for this than I was LFoDH or even when I first heard about this one. It looks like its gonna be nothing but good old action. Im there opening week.

LoPanFan 01-25-2013 06:56 AM

Well finally it's rated R and back to the R-rated formula, i've been a DH fan since i saw the first movie in theaters at age 7 about 4 times and i thought it kicked major ass and i saw the rest in theaters since.

Should be a worthy addition.

Hubbs 02-12-2013 10:05 AM

Sorry everyone but the new film is again for kids.
http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/a-go...cuts-confirmed

In the UK.

But the UK rating would have only been a 15 anyway so still not the adult 18 we all want.

CuatroDiablos 02-13-2013 07:19 AM

I knew it would be a soft R with CGI blood and some fucks here and there.

What has me worried is that there are no reviews for the movie yet.

Cunning Visions 02-13-2013 11:11 AM

I think the movie screened last night. I know Devin Feraci and his cohorts were tweeting about it, they all said it was horrible.

Hubbs 02-14-2013 06:18 AM

Its crapola and that's official folks, reviews in everywhere now, when will these modern day studios learn.
