Without a doubt, this is the best of the A&C Meet series. It's great they were able to get Chaney and Lugosi to reprise thier roles for the movie. It adds some authenticity to the movie.

Certainly watchable. I agree with most everything you've said in your review and would rate it 6/10 myself. I also felt the ending was a letdown, but then again, a lot of horror movies have endings...

This always makes my list as one of Hammer's best. It is just so unusual as far as horror movies go. The atmosphere and acting are first rate. I don't mind the special effects, it's a 60s movie...

Don't worry, there are still some of us out here that love these films. Price's work in the 60s and 70s with Corman and/or AIP are among my favorite "periods" in horror film history.

To add to your review, one scene that many seem to point to as a favorite (the Crystal Lake scene at the end) is just not that original....
