I don't usually make lists that go over 25 because a.) it takes way too much time and b.) I always feel like I'm leaving something really great out. So, my top 25:

01. The Godfather (Franciss Ford Coppola, 1972)
02. Casablanca (Michael Curtiz, 1942)
03. Apocalypse Now (Franciss Ford Coppola, 1979)
04. The Godfather, Part II (Franciss Ford Coppola, 1974)
05. Schindler's List (Steven Spielberg, 1993)
06. It Happened One Night (Frank Capra, 1934)
07. It's A Wonderful Life (Frank Capra, 1946)
08. The Bicycle Thief (Vittorio De Sica, 1948)
09. 2001: A Space Odyssey (Stanley Kubrick, 1968)
10. The Elephant Man (David Lynch, 1980)
11. 8 1/2 (Federico Fellini, 1963)
12. Raging Bull (Martin Scorsese, 1980)
13. Nosferatu (F.W. Murnau, 1922)
14. On the Waterfront (Elia Kazan, 1954)
15. Dr. Strangelove (Stanley Kubrick, 1964)
16. All Quiet on the Western Front (Lewis Milestone, 1930)
17. Rear Window (Alfred Hitchcock, 1954)
18. Taxi Driver (Martin Scorsese, 1976)
19. Vertigo (Alfred Hitchcock, 1958)
20. Umberto D. (Vittorio De Sica, 1952)
21. The Third Man (Orson Welles, 1949)
22. Singin' In the Rain (Stanley Donen & Gene Kelly, 1952)
23. Psycho (Alfred Hitchcock, 1960)
24. Lawrence of Arabia (David Lean, 1962)
