With the news of Rachel Weisz possibly playing the main head of Quantum in the next Bond film, my excitement for this film has reached its peak. The Bond films have always followed the pattern of some old or weird looking white guy, who has even weirder looking henchmen. A woman being the head of a billion-dollar terrorist organization is something that would truly take Bond to an entire new level.
Total agreement here, dude. I thought the villainous female angle in The World is Not Enough was very interesting. Bond couldn't bring himself to kill a woman as easily as he was a man. It posed as an interesting dynamic in that movie, even if the rest of it was undercooked.
I believe there was another Bond film that used the female villain angle too but, for the life of me, I can't recall which one!
Hopefully this film will use that angle really well. Female villains can be real aggravating bitches and Weisz' talent could make her one of the most memorable villains in Bond history!
