I love that theme song. It's one of the few theme songs I know all the words to. I see what you're saying though. I think it's supposed to be funny more than anything. There were so many unofficial sequels to Django. and a lot of them had nothing to do with the original movie. I think Tarantino is playing on that more than anything.
