That's it. That is what I remember his name from. That is an excellent Giallo very different from Argento and company. It is played mostly straight, has some style, very dramatic and extremely well-acted. His cinamatography in that is wonderful.
I figured his association with Giallos is what made "Absurd" sound like a hybrid of both subgenres.
