Both were very light reading done for a college book festival which the author (and others) will be present at. Clearly judging by the scores I enjoyed Speak over Twisted by a lot, but they were both easy, enjoyable novels. Don't expect "Call of Cthulhu" walking into this, but if you want something light to spend a few hours on, I can recommend Speak
which Halse's "trendy" prose is a perfect match for. Throughout portions of Twisted
, her shtick does become a detractor rather than a contribution to the story, but once again: both are pretty decent for what they are.
