to say that I need to be more well versed in world cinema, especially classical world cinema, would be an understatement. There are still so many notable foreign films I still have to see -- Woman in the Dunes, 8 1/2, M, Cinema Paradiso come to mind, among many others. I'll just list 10 from the top of my head that I love.
Oldboy (maybe my favorite film of all time, really)
A Separation (it's from 2011, but it doesn't matter; a profound masterpiece imo)
Y Tu Mama Tambien
Shaun of the Dead (hey, it counts doesn't it?)
4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days (surprised this wasn't mentioned at all yet D: )
Howl's Moving Castle (another Miyazaki film, because it's on par, and because I can)
The Good the Bad and the Ugly (I always forget that's technically a foreign film)
