Latest MPAA Ratings: BULLETIN NO: 2236

The one rating that has me curious below is the one for DMC Devil May Cry. The MPAA lists Screen Gems as the distributor, but there isn't any information they ever went forward with a film based on the Capcom video game outside of hiring Machete Kills scripter Kyle Ward back in February 2011. So is this a CG animated feature? I don't know.

Also, there's a rating for The Factory, a 2011 feature that starred John Cusack as an obsessed cop on the trail of a serial killer. The film is owned by Warner Bros and destributed as part of DARK CASTLE ENTERTAINMENT. who must be preparing to offload it to video but no word on a domestic release.

Finally, you'll see a lot of "re-rates" below as MGM is preparing some home video releases of old titles and Paramount is apparently planning a re-issue of the Gary Cooper classic High Noon.

Here is the List:

The Crimson Cult-Rated R For brief sexuality/nudity.

I just found this on a pdf version of BULLETIN NO: 2236 :

PG-13

I wonder what "Short Subject" mean. Usually "Short Subject" is a term used for Short Films. I know that there is a new DMC Devil May Cry Video Game has been announced. Could this me a short film that is bundled with the CE edition which arrives 1/13/13? If not, then its kind of strange how the MPAA was able to rate a film that doesn't even come out untill 2016 and currently has no cast, director or plot. The only thing known about 2016 film is the Distributor which just happens to be Screen Gems
