I remember when The Women in Me (which my future wife listened to) was first out and how her popularity went from nonexistent to fever pitch in the blink of an eye. I also remember how every guy in the world thought she was fucking Marilyn Monroe, which, personally I couldn't see. Then came Come on Over and "Your Still the One", "From this Moment" (our wedding song) took her to a level that seemed to rival the Beatles. If only for a moment, though.
Good memories of her music. It was truly one of my first introductions to main stream country music.
Of course the Dixie Chicks released Fly in 1999 and completely obliterated the country music competition. I don't think there was a more popular album that I remember in my lifetime except Thriller.
