From Russia with Love (Terence Young, 1963)

The next couple of weeks will most likely be busy for me so rather than watch all of the Bond movies, I'll just select a few until Skyfall is released. I can't really put my finger on why this one doesn't make my top five like it seems to with most Bond fans, but it's still a joy to watch, with Robert Shaw being the highlight of the movie for me.

You Only Live Twice (Lewis Gilbert, 1967)

Part of me wonders if the 'witticisms' and sexist comments in this film was screenwriter Roald Dahl being satirical as I was cracking up every now and then watching this. Japanese Sean Connery looks ridiculous, but the Japan presented in the film does look great and the set/set-piece for the final act is impressive.
